Since most supply chains from China are still non operational we will STILL have a depression.

The depression cake was baked as soon as the ports in China shut down.

And everyone over 30 is at risk of catastrophic medical bills from this. Should all over 30’s self quarantine?

Great leader or great speaker?

back in the early 90s his daddy Mario was the great speaker that was gonna win the white house in 92.

problem was GHWB was riding a 90% approval rating due to the first gulf war.

no dems wanted to run, and even Mario chickened out.

some unknown kid governor from Arkansas stepped up and said "I'll take a crack at it!"

then he recruited Ross Perot and won with 43% of the vote ...

and that's the rest of the story ...

China is ramping up. Stay home if you are afraid. I am staying home because a family member is high risk.
However, people have to feed their families, pay mortgages and insurance.

“Vitamin D3 levels?”

Maybe.

But somebody ought to be figuring it out.

Louisiana and Georgia will pass CA in the next day or two.

I know CA was very early in the Social Distancing measures. So early that I thought they were crazy.
They don’t look so crazy now.

It’s a balancing act. Or between the Devil and the Deep.

He’s trying to do both—or avoid both, however you want to say it.

He went on to interrupt Dr Brix and said there’s some Drs that will tell him to shut down the country for two years.

He wants his economy back, now.

It is hoped that the network of volunteers will help the up-to 1.5 million people especially vulnerable to coronavirus who have been told to “shield” themselves for 12 weeks.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said that final year medical students and student nurses would be moved to the National Health Service’s “front line.”
He also announced that the government was opening a temporary hospital which could hold two wards of 2,000 people each.

Kaila:

We are facing a depression and a health care crisis beyond your imagination.

This year.

The President will do the best he can with the cards he was dealt, but this will be an international depression and an international pandemic.

The exponential growth needs a population of victims to grow into. If the available number of new victims is falling off due to deaths and exhaustion of potential targets, you may see the numbers fall. It doesn't necessarily mean the virulence is burning out.

Social distancing withdraws fresh victims. The looming question is how many latent spreaders remain to restart the infection process once "normal" interaction resumes.

What, exactly, do you think happens to our insurance companies if they have to pay out for cat 5 hurricanes in every city in the country?

Because that’s what will happen if our ICU’s are full of 30-50 somethings.

I see your point though.

YOU are high risk so YOU want the luxury of staying at home to avoid the virus.

HOWEVER, YOU want everyone ELSE to get back to work because YOUR portfolio is suffering.

Narc somewhere else please.

Brix said that the president has asked the task force to continue to gather data on a ‘granular level’ until the decision is made, and the focus of action can then be at the points where the virus is the most active.

In other areas people can go back to work while continuing to practice the safety procedures we are following now.

Pres Trump mentioned that if you close down the country even for a relatively short time that people will lose their jobs, possibly never to return, that people will lose their businesses, possibly never to return. That ties in to an earlier comment he made that there would be thousands more suicides if the whole economy is ruined.

I was at a Love’s truck stop in Florida yesterday and they had an rubber glove clad employee manning the self serve soda machine. Yet NYC with thousands of Wu Flu cases is allowing the filthy NYC subway spread it. Makes no sense.

“It’s crazy how these leaders wait to late to act then want everyone to bail them out”

DeSantis runs interference for the Spring Breakers and then begs the President to help him stop “the 169 daily flights from Hot zones coming into Florida!”

Party on, Ron

We will all suffer if there is no jobs.
Stay home if you are scared.
I isolated my family two weeks before they ordered it.
One person can restart a pandemic again. The US orders isolation for three weeks. The incubation period is up to 21 days. A person could contract it on week 2.5, and spread it once again .
Our isolation techniques is not perfect. People are still socializing. You cannot shut everyone down, it does not work, and then it restarts again.
With no economy, who is going to pay for the healthcare system?
