Prince Charles visited a retirement home in our small hometown and we were friends with the next-door neighbors.

After he arrived his back was toward us as he shook hands with the retirement home employees in a receiving line on the porch.

At one point one of the 4x4 porch support posts was directly between him and me and I had a perfect view of the post with an ear sticking out of either side.

It’s a memory I’ll always cherish.

Brings back memories. I remember Carlton Sickles. He was a congressman and also ran for governor of Maryland.

I met ragin cajun, James Carville, on an elevator in a DC hospital. I asked, “Are you who I think you are?”
He said, “yes” so, I asked what brought him to the hospital.
He said,”My wife is in labor”
I said, “Please give my best to your wife.”
I hope I projected scorn for him in my well wishes for her.

Many years ago I met Moe Howard of the Three Stooges. He was very pleasant. And he didn’t even try to poke me in the eyes!

When I was 15 I went to a concert where the band U2 was playing. It was 1980. The place was a little dive, and they weren’t even the headliners. My older sister had heard them and suggested we go. I think it was their first tour of America and they were literally traveling around to gigs in a chevy van.

after they finished playing, they were standing outside the venue and a group of us where chatting with them. It was the day John Lennon was shot. My friend took some photos, and have no idea what happened to those photos.

Met Joe Walsh at a hotel bar in Rochester, NY 1992 right after the Presidential election. I shook his hand and told him I voted for him for VP (Joe always ran for VP).

He was half bombed (so was I) and he said, “I’ll try not to let you down, man”.

Growing up in Hicksville, Long Island, I lived around the corner from Billy Joel. His sister Judy and my sister were friends. He performed at a school event when he was in 4th grade. Sang and danced. Was awesome even back then. I remember my Dad saying that kid is gonna go places.

I also met Jon Bought after the 2012 convention in Tampa at the airport. My friend and I took pictures with him. He was very accommodating.

I worked as a stagehand in a couple of different venues when I was much younger. Met a lot of rock and roll personalities. I can’t say I was overly impressed with any of them as people. As artists, yeah. A few of them anyway.

I got yelled at by Oscar Robertson because I kept asking him for his autograph at the Forum in Los Angeles, circa 1974. Around the same time, Jack Nicholson finally turned around to us and gave us a weird look because my buddy kept yelling to him.....”jack?...who’s Warren? Jack, how’s Warren? Jack How’s warren?”.....my buddy was aware that Jack and Warren were doing all the girls in Hollywood at that time.
I worked for Ernest Rady a billionaire and he always nice to me. Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, he once owned the Padres, Rady School of Management UC San Diego.
I shook hand with the late Salvador Sanchez, the featherweight champ and incredible boxer as he entered the ring at the Los Angeles Olympic Auditorium. I had run down to the ring just as he was climbing in.
I have a picture of me and Roberto Duran when I went to see him train at the Main St. Gym in Los Angeles, early 80s.
I shook hands with sweet lou Johnson of the Los Angeles Dodgers......late 60s when I ran down to the fence along the left field line.

I played pool with Rusty Wier in Lubbock (Texas y'all) at Uncle Nasty's.

He bought a hand full of us pitchers of beer, between sets.

Long ago, my sister and I were standing on a sidewalk when Bob Hope drove by, driving his own Cadillac convertible.

When my sister’s car broke down in a residential neighborhood, she knocked on a door. Who should answer, but Bruce Dern!

Bumped into Mitt Romney in a hardware store.

Back before he got a worse reputation, Presidential hopeful John McCain spoke with my Dad and I for about 10 minutes.

Stumbled on a movie being filmed in Long Beach. Stood around and watched for a while. Director yelled, cut 10 minutes, and Robert Mitchum came off the set walked up to me and asked if I had a light. I did. Then I said “WOW! Robert Mitchum, I always wanted to meet you!” He said “ What’s your name?” I answered and he said “I always wanted to meet you!” lol...

Met 6 MOH winners in my life. That is the high point. Oh and Reagan.
