When I was 15 I went to a concert where the band U2 was playing. It was 1980. The place was a little dive, and they weren’t even the headliners. My older sister had heard them and suggested we go. I think it was their first tour of America and they were literally traveling around to gigs in a chevy van.
after they finished playing, they were standing outside the venue and a group of us where chatting with them. It was the day John Lennon was shot. My friend took some photos, and have no idea what happened to those photos.
That reminds me. I got to hang out with Henry Rollins (yes, another Rollins) before a Black Flag show in Savannah. Interesting dude. This was back when he had really long hair.
