Haven’t you heard? This isn’t news.
It calls for activism, ok. “News/Activism” means either one, the other or both.
Johnny Cash? The legendary version was a huge hit soon after written in49. I was shocked to see Cash didnt cover until 30 years later.
once johnny cash covers a song, it becomes a johnny cash song...
Yeah hes great but I never thought of that song for him. Even if he did it in the last heyday of variety shows when country guys might be on tv and my folks were watching them all the time.
He owns Hurt, too, even though it was originally written and performed by some whiny rock star. He sang it with more genuine feeling. But I can’t agree that he took possession of Blowin’ In The Wind or It Ain’t Me, Babe. Those remain Dylan’s.
But the video has the likeness of Cash singing along with these words, which are a smear of POTUSDJT and the deplorables, which he calls “lemmings”. I wonder what his estate has to say about that.
I just posted the first negative comment. It took less than a minute. Go ahead. Push back against a leftard.
Then why post it? All you’re doing is generating hits for crap.
Hitting back. I also gave it a thumbs down.
But the mods did you a favor and simply moved it to its appropriate forum.
Ah good. Unfortuniately everyone here on the forum just gave this asshole a veiw. Next time, leave them where they belong, ignored and in oblivion.
i’ll give you that... then, dylan never really covered his own songs as to have them intelligibly heard or understood...
i’ve been flushed from the bathroom of your heart.
He was imitating the declining Woody Guthrie’s slurred speech, apparently as a sign of respect. I can only stand so much of Dylan, anyway. Beatles, too.
I take extreme umbrage to them messing with an icon like Cash. That’s cultural appropriation. Leftards not welcome. They deserve to be flamed into oblivion and then ignored.
