Any police department (or university faculty, or military unit, etc.) is only as good as the worst psycho they tolerate. ~ H/T RedStateRocker
Dog was leashed
Prolly hear more about this as the blue wall leaks
Bootlicking is a mental disorder
Try toad backs instead
More fun
Just saying....
Cops do shoot dogs fast
Anytime county deputies or game and fish are around my property
I plead let me pen my Rottweilers first
Dogs sense threats from cops
At least the cop went home safe.
I was attacked by a feral dog on the street in Queens. I punched it in the nose and it fled. If I had had a gun I damned sure would have shot it.
Quick check of the facts: An off duty agent turns a corner, a uncontrolled Belgium Malamute charges at him, he draws and fires a single shot at night into a smaller than man sized target. Let's see.. 100% on the shooting test, 100% on the vision test. Seems fit for duty to me. Six week paid vacation while the shooting is investigated by the NYPD. Keyboard warriors go wild...
As for the leash being in photos - many people will carry the leash while walking their 'well trained dog', could have been on the dog when it was running wild or could have been put on by the owner after the dog was shot.
Had that been one of the few concealed carry permit civilians in Brooklyn, the investigation would have been wrapped up already.
Yep. And then release them to run ahead.
Lots of dog lovers on this forum. Maybe they are the good owners. But, not all owners are good.
It's one thing to release your dog and let it run ahead. You may be taking a risk with the dog and people, but at least you don't have bad intentions.
What's worse are the owners who release their dogs to sic them on people, just for fun. And the owners who let their dogs run the neighborhood, just to harass the neighbors. Usually, those are the dogs who get run over, poisoned, or shot (at least where I used to live).
As for me, I could never shoot another person's dog. Not even ol' Yeller......
Almost nobody here believes the Cop was telling the truth.
And they have no one but themselves to blame for that.
L
Because like lawyers, they lie.
How about the female cop that entered a guy's apartment and shot him dead? Or the male cop that shot a woman through her window before he could finish telling her to put her hands where he could see them?
Unfortunately, the blue wall doesn't leak.
Oh, never mind...he dead.
Suppressing speech and calling for mental health evaluations on people that disagree with you.
Nice, commissar.
You know this dog was running at the agent how? Was it just running away from someone?
At this point the agent used the poorest judgment; not the kind of person who should be wearing a badge. Maybe I’m wrong but with the info given so far; that’s what I’m seeing at this point.
I wasn't there, but I know that people who are afraid of dogs or who don't know dog body language frequently mistake play behavior or protective behavior as aggression.
Here are pictures of 20 different dogs. Cops identified virtually every one of them as a "pit bull".
they all look the same to certain people...
You have a reasonable right to defend yourself. If a dog is large enough and aggressive enough to inflict a serious bite, you have a right to stop the attack, no matter how much it might upset the owner.
“Almost nobody here believes the Cop was telling the truth.”
That’s because far too many people in law enforcement these days don’t even have a passing acquaintance with honesty, truthfulness, integrity, or a sense of duty.
But they’re Johnny On The Spot when it comes to covering up another cop’s crimes.
Thin Blue Line and all that other gang loyalty crap, you see.
“a DOG gets shot and some people lose their minds”
If someone shot my dog they’d lose their life. Period.
