These Posters Show What a Green New Deal Could Look Like

The Green New Deal is visionary approach to climate politics and American life. If passed, it would completely transform how Americans live from where we call home to how we get our power to the fundamental outline of the economy. It’s no small thing, and frankly, I get why it can be scary to some.

The path we’ve walked down since the start of the Industrial Revolution has treated humanity well on some level. And a fossil fueled-economy is modern orthodoxy.

Now, it could be the thing that ends up undoing centuries of human progress. While small changes around the margin may have been helpful a few decades ago, now the world needs to radically transform itself. Like I said, scary. But it doesn’t have to be.

We’ve had a look at what the broad outlines of a Green New Deal suite of policies look like—rapid decarbonization, a healthcare system that shifts in tandem with the societal changes, housing for all, a just transition for fossil fuel workers and frontline communities—but a policy vision doesn’t always translate easily into a societal one.

As if there was any question just what the mush brained eco whackos envision for the United States with their 'Green' New Deal, check out these posters. They must have been imaged on the same presses that Stalin and Mao used for their propaganda.

About one century in terms of living standards, is my prediction.

I didn’t realize LSD use was still prevalent after the Grateful dead died. Maybe we need Mandatory Drug Testing for ALL Schools nationwide, administrators, staff, teachers,... and students.

They look very much like Russian, Chinese or Nazi propaganda posters. That is a rational observation because that is what they are, COMMUNIST PROPAGANDA POSTERS.

So sick, so sad, so terrifying. This is a road already traveled and it led to ruin for those who followed it or were forced down it’s pathway.

The industrial revolution was not driven by government mandate but free enterprise and capitalism. Central government mandates have always resulted in failure.

They need to take that US seal off of their propaganda.

At least the Ramones’ loved America and their logo was a modified variant.

Queer poster. No decarbonization without decolonization.

No one is allowed to decry the foreign funded colonization of the West by Islamists or third worlders.

There is no “open border” if people cannot exchange ideas or move in the other direction.

You are correct of course but what we think and have learned really won’t matter and won’t stop this insanity.

There is a new generation in charge and they have been inculcated to believe this crap. They are also scared and believe changing everything must be done as an emergency action. There is no time for delay or question in their panicked and confused minds. Oddly, our generation’s miscreants taught them this over our otherwise feeble protests, also unheard. We were allowing the miscreants who choose to teach for some reason to brainwash our children and grand children with this clap trap.

Mankind blunders through a series of mistakes and only slightly recovers long enough to forget everything. In my working life, when a big mistake we had seen before was made yet again, I would say that only people have memories, corporations do not. Only what enforced and taught by tradition from people to people can endure. There is not enough time or discipline to even use let alone pay attention to organizational learning devices. Much better if you can find mentors and enforcers to pass down and preserve traditions.

Given a free hand or even given a book of instructions people will go off and do what they think is right at the time and change what has gone before never once seriously considering the reason it was done and why it should not be changed.

All of this has gone on for millennia and will so long as man if given free will.

“The path we’ve walked down since the start of the Industrial Revolution has treated humanity well on some level.”

Imagine the ignorance one must have to write this sentence. “On some level” is the understatement of the century.
