Yep - the training is to gain control over your mind and body and make both strong...the reality is that it helps prepare one to be a sophisticated street fighter and that requires an alteration of the mind set...pretty choreography and actual battle are two different things...I bet Chuck Norris would have wiped the floor with Bruce Lee....
I don’t know, Bruce had something Chuck didn’t, and that was blinding speed, and he was also incredibly strong for a guy his size.
In most cases speed can overcome strength.
But what is truly tragic, IMO, is that no one ever mentions Jean Claude Van Damme in the same breath as Bruce and Chuck.
Somehow, Jean Claude failed to achieve Legendary Martial Artist status with his movies.
Oh yeah.

Bruce refused to compete - Chuck played in the mud and the blood and the beer and earned his titles...he may not have been as lean/buff as lee but he used his titles/records to move into entertainment where lee was all entertainment...many made him a superhero icon w/o him having to earn it with actual application.
Speed helps but Chuck wasn’t a slowpoke and had reach and mass in his favor too.
We’ll never know for sure so I’ll stick with my version - Chuck would have did some serious mopping.
You know I bet this epic match up has already occurred in Heaven. I think I’d put my dough on Bruce, and I want Joe Rogan to call the fight.
Those guys up there know the result, and we are down here stuck with no one even makes good martial arts movies anymore ;/

When did Chuck die? Last I heard he was alive and “kicking”.
My wife asked why Bruce made all them sounds - the only answer was showmanship.
