I can get the same type of Chicken at Walmart for not much more price. And I save on Costco’s yearly fee. Tried Costco for a year but you have to buy bigger quantities and that is impractical for us. However their edible merchandise is of good quality.
The discount that I get on gasoline at Costco virtually pays for the yearly membership fee. Its consistently $.20-$.30 a gallon less than competitors
Walmart chickens are smaller and cost more than Costco chickens.
GOOD GRIEF!! COSTCO chicken is TWICE the size of WAL-MART’s!
Cost of Costco membership two adults is not practical considering the quantities you have to by. Walmart is more reasonable.
Back in college, I borrow someone’s Costco card to avoid the hassle the membership thingy, but the catch is I have to buy their cheap pizza..
Our experience has been that WM's chicken is about one pound lighter. I have seen some that almost look like quail.
Costco’s too far away from us to use even if the membership was free. The Sams is about 25 miles away but we have found that a Sam’s Plus Membership is cost-effective.
While we only buy a small number of things at Sam’s, most of them do not justify the membership fee. However with the plus membership for $100 I get my heart meds for about $300 less per year than anywhere else. So for us it pays off quite well. Also with a Sam’s Plus Membership we get free shipping on almost anything we want to order. Very convenient. And they must be taking a hit on it. Which is their problem in my opinion.
Yabbut, you have to go into the walmart and have your senses assaulted by the walmartians...........
Our Costco is definitely a cut above the wm denizens.
funny you say that. I was in Walmart last week (Sam’s Club right next door) ...I asked the girl at the rotisserie chicken counter in walmart if Walmarts chicken was the same as Sam’s (I assumed it was because owed by same group). She said Sam’s Clubs chicken is larger and better tasting. I had always kind of thought that but thought it was just in my head but she said it to me.
HEB chicken rocks.
The big Walmart chicken is around $4 more but is a bit bigger and certainly tastes better. Costco chicken is a bit bland. Love the $1.50 Hot Dog.
