This year’s apple season has been so fruitful that distributors in Norway are running short on storage space.

Meteorologists have linked climate change to the quickly-ripening fruits, NRK reports.

Orchards in the western area of Hardanger told the broadcaster that this year’s apple season had been unusually short and intense, with a much shorter window than usual for harvesting.

Large quantities of apples are now ready for transport to distributors and trees have been cleared of fruit, according to the report.

“It has been a good season. The quality is also good. We can see that in both the color and taste (of the apples),” Olav Velken, a fruit farmer from the Ullensvang municipality, told NRK. …

I guess the Norwegians won't have to start eating their babies until NEXT year.

AOC and her disciples are saddened.

I’ve read that cotton has also had particularly good weather for harvest.

Question:

What’s the over/under on apple ripening on a historical basis in Norway?

That is happening earlier THIS YEAR, is one thing. What about last year, and the previous 50 years? What about NEXT YEAR?

Before we link anything to “Climate Change” we should examine the long term trends.

yup! climate change linked to quick ripening and the next year it’s a slow ripening season it will be linked to climate change again.

doesn’t dawn on them this sort of thing (weather variety) has been happening forever and will continue to do so til God says differently.

They can use the extra apples to plump up the babies that will be used as pie ingredients.

Weather records only go back 200 years at most and probably much less in most places. At least temperature that is in any way reliable. Given the politics of today any change is going to bring out the climate crazies. Early bumper crop of apples? The world is ending in uh.....11 and something years!!!!

Apples usually follow bi-yearly cycle putting out a lot of fruit one year followed by little the next.

My granny Smith orchard last year was a limb breaker. This year not so good.

My Arkansas Blacks This year is the best crop I’ve had in 15 years for that orchard. That variety seems to store the best. They blossom late Spring so are usually the last Apple picked. Staying hard and Crisp well into January

Besides weather, pollination, pruning and thinning also play major parts of how good the crop is

If apples were ripening later they would blame ‘climate change’ too... What is the magic day that is ‘just right’ for apples to ripen?

Nonsense. All things are directly attributable to climate change. If climate change did not exist, I wouldn't even have written the preceding sentence about climate change, proving the reality of climate change.
