I believe these passengers and their animals are protected under the ADA. If a shrink prescribes a “therapy horse” to a passenger, and the airline then “refuses service”, they are in for a world of legal hurt.

Some people’s rights are more important that other’s, apparently.

This is also why the windows on the upper half of our office doors had to be frosted. If a person in a wheel chair can’t see through them, no one else is allowed either.
