Why are only 300,000 kulaks listed as killed? They died by the millions on their farms or in Siberia.
Hello. Good question. It’s explained somewhere in the site, but I can’t remember where. Here, most Kulaks are classified under “Peasants.” The only way to present these kinds of demographics meaningfully is to avoid double-counting. Somewhat meticulously, the 300,000 kulaks listed as dead, are separated and subtracted from the overall number of peasants.The shortcoming is acknowledged within the site and explained when discussing methodology. Your question is one of the primary reasons that this is a teaching tool and not a research tool. Great question though.

IF it weren’t for the 2nd Amendment and the heavily armed populace, they’d have killed millions of us by now as well. They’re basically cowards...but conniving cowards they are!!!

I’m going largely on the Black Book, which suggests a total of 20 million; HOWEVER, it’s just one of a bunch of sources. You’re likely right, and I’d have a hard time disputing you, which means a communist apologist should have a hard time disputing me. Here’s a passage that I think states the underlying philosophy: “I would have to approximate—after totaling the deaths from all demographics—that peacetime communism killed 85 million people. While this figure is a conservative estimate, the number is high enough that it puts communist apologists in the unenviable position of having to pretzel themselves into embarrassingly bad logic and outright falsehoods over the course of 34 point-by-point calculations, all for the privilege of arguing that it was ONLY 30 or 40 million innocents who were slaughtered by their mentors.”
Of course these apologists are intellectual perverts. When it comes to unity, there’s a definite shortcoming in the site since the site claims to be directed to kids rather than these intellectual perverts.
Good conversation...in a strange way, it almost makes me feel like I’m getting a good chance to unload a feeling of guilt over the conservative estimates.

Probably is a lot more. I’m in awe of Solzhenitsyn, probably my favorite writer, and if he were still alive and standing in front of me right now, I’d be bowing before him and saying, “Yes sir, 60,000,000; and not a bit less.”
