Hasbro, the company which owns Monopoly, Play-Doh, Furby, and Power Rangers, now owns Dr. Dres The Chronic, Tupacs All Eyez Me, the rappers first album [recorded at] Death Row Records, and one of the undisputed best rap albums ever made, Snoop Doggs Doggystyle, Dr. Dre and Suge Knights Above the Rim, and many more classic West Coast hip-hop records from the early 90s...

Yes, and you're the only person here who didn't get it.
How does that make you feel?
All of Hasbro’s toys are made in China.
These tariffs will hammer them.
So...they decided to get into another line of work while they still had a grubstake.
I went to Compton High in the late 60s, early 70s. Most of us alumni wouldn't think of bragging about being from there.
OK.
Listed in E-One’s tv, movie and music rights is a popular show ‘The Walking Dead’
but DRR is the crown jewel among their holdings.
Well, that’s a match made in hell.
The poor dang kids are already being bombarded enough with horrible role models; What next?; Rapper dolls complete with guns and with built in player of the Rapper’s most violent rhymes, Pull a string and the Kiddies can stage their own shootouts with the matching atmosphere ‘music’???
“Why does trash sell more than good stuff?”
It’s what’s in demand in a trashy society.
Hasbro oughtta reap the sales, download and streaming revenue from DRR songs deep into the 2020’s before taking serious buyout offers. In the future if they ever decide branch out into say, their own branded streaming channel, or acquiring LEGO or Nintendo, they’d easily get all their money back (likely more) from selling DRR alone.
Bull
Read up and dont make me do it for you....DDR is basically now just a name and some masters....Bear in mind they dont own all masters....like Dres or Tupacs for instance....you know the really valuable ones
Eone has a lot of stuff....kids entertainment most Freepers are ignorant of...including me till I read up
Please read some of the articles...this purchase is about a childrens entertainment and toy conglomerate buying a smaller one
As Cube (a fake G btw from Baldwin Hills with a median income of 60,000) would say ...DDR aint shit...at least not now...
DDR is an afterthought....its day has come and went....maybe have some plan to bring it back....who knows
Its been through multiple owners since bankruptcy in 2004 and hasnt produced new content since two bankruptcies ago though they do have some catalogue assets with value I assume
No offense but I just dont see Snoop or NWA as background sound for life insurance or car ads etc in twenty years like The Rolling Stones or Lynyrd Skynyrd or ZZ Top are now and have been for decades
Not to say some hip hop isnt valuable or even should I venture iconic...its not iconic to me but it is to many white kids born after 1970...I get that and it continues today with a shelf life of maybe 18 months with rare exception
Im not trying to fight but respectfully really should read more about this sale....Hasbro is buying kids content ...no question
Around 1.2 million hard money in various forms and assuming the rest in debt which values the deal at 4B
Its not a 4B cash or securities swap deal...
It reads to me like Hasbro is saving Eone from eventual ruin
Hasbro market cap is 13.2 billion and it cash flows over a billion a year
Pretty strong
Hasbro is already huge in kids content entertainment...
I didnt know that honestly
I think toys are not their main focus now
I think this Peppa Pig show is their jewel....My youngest is 12 now so
I always liked teletubbies lol
Somehow apropos.
Putting the BRO in Hasbro.
Selling Hasbro stock tomorrow..
