After former Congressman Beto O'Rourke (D) appeared on CNN's "State of the Union" and cited President Donald Trump's alleged racism as the reason behind the "violence in America," host Jake Tapper pressed El Paso Mayor Dee Margo on the issue.
Despite Tapper's repeated attempts to get Margo to take a stance on Trump's alleged racism, the Mayor shut him down.
"Former Congressman from El Paso, Beto O'Rourke, told me earlier in the show that, in his view, the president's anti-immigrant rhetoric is making things worse and creating an atmosphere of violence. Do you agree? Do you have any concerns about the things President Trump says about immigrants?" Tapper asked.
"Jake, I'm not qualified to make a comment on that. I'm not a talking head. I'm focusing on the El Pasoans and the 20 deaths, their families and what it means to this community and how we can come together and not be victimized by this," Margo responded. "This will not define us. We are a unique region that's been here for 350 years. There's families on both sides. There's commerce on both sides. We're bi-national and bi-cultural. We're almost 2.5 million people and our average age is 32. This will not define us."
Tapper set the stage for another ask.
"The Texas Land Commissioner, George P. Bush, said in a statement that 'white terrorism' is a 'real and present threat that we must all denounce and defeat.' Do you agree that white terrorism is a threat to the United States?" Tapper asked
"Jake, I'm not qualified to respond to that anymore than the previous question," Margo said. "I'm focusing on El Paso. There's evil in this world and it's unfortunate.
El Paso Mayor won't attack Trump
I don’t see a deserved take down on Trapper in those replies.
Beto was almost smiling in the video interview about the shooting. He seemed quite pleased in the beginning. Most inappropriate.
The mayor is trying to stay above the BS.
Have you all noticed the leftist narrative within hours of the tragedies in both El Paso and Dayton? Trump is responsible for the rise of the White nationalist movement, and that he is spurring on these shootings because of his racism. Man, if you don’t think the left has a hand in any of this you’re fooling yourself now. The left is going all out and have declared war on all of us!

I haven’t many seen pictures of the actual victims yet but the one I saw of people running seemed to include many white people.

I noticed that as well. It looked like he was going to bust out laughing, which in the false flag and hoax community they call it “duper’s delight” when they are crisis actors but they can’t contain their glee, in spite of a supposed tragedy just taking place.
Hell, most Walmarts I’ve been in, I feel like the minority as a white male. It’s almost like a third world hell hole.

He didn’t then say, “admit it, mayor. You are a white nationalist yourself. That’s why you can’t take a stand on Trump’s racism.” At that point, Trapper would have received a richly deserved punch in the mouth. So the mayor kept his head while talking to a near-complete idiot.

Will President O’Rourke make formal declaration that What People are a Terrorist group to be sanctioned?
I am pretty sure that it will become apparent at some point that Auntie Faye is responsible for the suicide shooters. Some of these people are off balance enough and fanatic enough to do these things.
