Watching the video it's apparent one of the kids knows the law as he turns around and just strolls back to the car, knowing the potential victim can't legally shoot him in the back......
Pretty darn stupid attempting to rob a man who is open carrying a firearm. And who waters their lawn with wallet and money in their pockets? Not me

Open carry, no less! Those idiots missed seeing that right on the man’s right hip?
From what I took from the article was the 15 year old was shot by yet another citizen who prefers not to be the victim.

No, typical "journalist" excellence, not just Oklahoma. Exactly. Don't blame Oklahoma for the fact that 'fake-newsers' deliver fake news...

If the “teen” was not shot in his side or in his back, the Neighbor’s statement should ring true.
As a Cop friend of my Brother told him years ago, the only thing you tell the Investigators is “I was in fear for my life”, and stick to it.

The man watering his lawn needs more range time
It took him way to long to clear his holster.
If the crooks had wanted to shoot he would have been dead.

Daily Mail has updated the story about the neighbor who shot the running punk after the car crashed.
Zachariah Cook claimed that the boy was running at him when he shot him, then refused to speak any more to the cops.
He has been arrested on a complaint of shooting with intent to kill. Police said there is a chance the homeowner used justified force, and the judge may decide to drop the charge.

You can’t shoot someone for running through your yard if they present no immediate threat to anyone.

If they are charging you, your life is threatened, Id say. No, not in most states.
That's why liberals hate the few states that have "Stand Your Ground" laws.
In most states, if you shoot an intruder, you better damn be sure they are in your house, and that they attacked you with deadly force and your life was in danger, and that that the all of the above is backed up by some evidence.
Otherwise, it will be you in prison, for a long time.

Our Sheriff has told us if we shoot somebody outside the house, drag them back in and use plenty of bleach outside.
