Years ago ( I mean years ago) there was a jazz club in Southern California called “Shelly’s Manhole”. The reason for the name was it was a takeoff on the last name of the owner of the club, a famous jazz drummer, Shelly Manne.
That’s stupid. Anybody old enough to go to that bar, any bar, will know what each term means. Lots of businesses use antiquated, though still familiar terms. So stop wasting Court Time and take a walk!
All this faux outrage may just be a sly way of advertising their presence anyway.
