Bodycam Video Shows Fatal Police Shooting on Anaheim Freeway

Body camera video released Friday by Fullerton police shows that the 17-year-old girl killed in a police shooting on an Anaheim freeway had exited her vehicle and was holding a fake gun, according to police.

Hannah Williams can only briefly be seen outside the gray rental SUV she was in before she's shot on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Kramer Boulevard on July 5. Fullerton police say the replica Beretta later found near her body can be seen in her hands, pointed at the officer.

The bodycam's audio was not activated when the officer opened fire, so it's unclear exactly when she was shot. The audio cuts in as the officer is radioing, "Shots fired," while backing around the SUV.

Williams is next seen lying on her back on the freeway. The replica firearm is on the ground a few feet away.

I got on the highway at the previous exit going the other direction and immediately said to my passengers, “Something’s going on...there are no cars on the eastbound side. It’s got to be blocked ahead.”

Sure enough, this was happening. It’s odd that seeing no traffic would automatically mean a bad thing is happening, but I’ve seen stranger things on these highways.

It does show the shooting and his camera was on. Sadly, it appears to be a suicide by cop situation by a mentally disturbed individual.

Honestly, I can't say that I saw a the fake gun in her hands. The pictures weren't clear enough. Yes, it is possible that the fake weapon was planted.

Only a total @$$hole would expect cops to assume guns pointed at them are fake rather than real. Sadly that expectation isn’t limited to delusional lefties and fanatical radical agitators - but is even found here on FR.
