The man fatally shot by a California Highway Patrol officer on a Los Angeles freeway was a troubled struggling actor — whose family always “backed the blue” before seeing video of him killed by “absolute police brutality,” his stepmom said. Jesse Dominguez, an aspiring actor working as a waiter and living in a sober living facility due to drug addiction, was shot dead by police during what his family claims was likely a mental health crisis while he was living sober living facility

Meanwhile in the Democrat hellhole of California… Another fire broke out underneath a Los Angeles freeway just days after the 10 freeway was closed down indefinitely due to a massive fire. A fire broke out underneath the 105 and 110 freeway interchange in Los Angeles on Tuesday morning. The blaze spread from a homeless encampment, according to reports. “From what we’re seeing here from Sky5, it would appear that it is some sort of encampment that is burning under the overpass,” KTLA 5’s Rich Prickett said. “For right now it’s contained in that one little area.”

Some decisions are so negligent and with consequences so predictably disastrous that only a Big Stupid Government could ever make them. Over the weekend, a massive fire under I-10 at E. 14th Ave. in Los Angeles was severe enough to cause structural damage bad enough to close that section of the freeway "indefinitely." The miracle — thanks to Big Stupid Government — is that it didn't happen sooner. With more than 300,000 vehicles being rerouted each and every day until further notice, frustrated Los Angelenos demanded answers — and, on Tuesday, they got one. "Bad actors" caused the fire, according...

LOS ANGELES, CA — As emergency crews continued to investigate the cause of the fire that damaged the 10 freeway in downtown L.A., a new report indicates the blaze occurred as the result of a plan created by Governor Gavin Newsom to burn all of the state's major freeways so no more California residents can move out of the state. "It's a diabolical, but brilliant scheme," said sociologist Dr. Blake Rumsey. "If there are no useable roads, nobody can leave California, and the state will stop hemorrhaging its population. Newsom hatched quite a little plan here, it seems. After all,...

Commuters in Los Angeles are bracing for an all-day traffic nightmare after one of the nation's busiest freeways was shut down indefinitely by a massive fire that erupted over the weekend in a storage yard underneath the normally congested artery. The 10 Freeway, traversed by more than 300,000 drivers daily, remained closed in both directions as authorities suggested a series of detours and announced there is no timeline on when the thoroughfare through downtown Los Angeles will reopen. "As we made clear yesterday, this was a huge fire and the damage will not be fixed in an instant," Los Angeles...

A man reportedly threw roughly $200,000 in cash out of a speeding car and onto the interstate in Eugene, Oregon on Wednesday night. People are still searching the sides of the highway, hoping to find more of the money. However, police said it’s all been accounted for. Oregon State Police Lt. Jim Andrews said anyone who stopped on the scene did a “pretty good job of cleaning it all up.” Andrews said the money belonged to 38-year-old Colin Davis McCarthy and his family. Andrews said McCarthy drained the family’s shared bank account in cash and then let it fly along...

OAKLAND, Calif. - Barbara Nguyen can barely stand to drive anymore on Bay Area freeways. If a driver pulls up too close to her car, she slows down or speeds up to get away from them. "I'm literally driving to work and I'm scared for my life," she said in a recent interview. Her 28-year-old brother, Alameda County Sheriff's recruit David Nguyen, was shot and killed Jan. 4, 2022, near the Bay Bridge toll plaza – the first of 154 shootings across Bay Area freeways that year. That's nearly double the number of freeway shootings in Los Angeles, which saw...

Authorities received a call around 1:15 a.m. reporting about 50 vehicles holding up the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the 605 interchange, California Highway Patrol Officer Kimball said. Video from the scene showed cars doing doughnuts and other stunts on the freeway as headlights from stopped traffic could be seen in the background. An estimated 200 people were also out of their vehicles watching the illegal demonstration.

Jerusalem residents and environmental groups see a threatened ecological "disaster" in the plans for a series of major infrastructure projects to expand roads and build intersections west of the city, being promoted by the Jerusalem Municipality and the Transportation Ministry. The eight proposed projects, mostly for areas just outside the city, involve construction of a large park-and-ride lot with 1,000 spots at Hadassah University Hospital in Ein Karem and highways connecting the suburb of Mevasseret Zion, the Castel National Park area and the outlying neighborhood of Ein Karem. The largest plan, recently presented for members of the public to submit...

Body camera video released Friday by Fullerton police shows that the 17-year-old girl killed in a police shooting on an Anaheim freeway had exited her vehicle and was holding a fake gun, according to police. Hannah Williams can only briefly be seen outside the gray rental SUV she was in before she's shot on the eastbound 91 Freeway near Kramer Boulevard on July 5. Fullerton police say the replica Beretta later found near her body can be seen in her hands, pointed at the officer. The bodycam's audio was not activated when the officer opened fire, so it's unclear exactly...

LHASA, April 26 (Xinhua) -- The world's highest highway tunnel was open to traffic on Friday at an altitude of over 4,750 meters above sea level in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region. The two-way tunnel is over 5.7 km long, which is a part of the 400-km highway linking the regional capital of Lhasa with Nyingchi in the southeast of Tibet. Construction of the tunnel started in 2015 on the 5,018-meter-high Mila Mountain, and it was completed on Monday, helping shorten the 18-km distance over the mountain to 5.7 km. Gong Bin, project manager of Mila Mountain Tunnel of the...

No one was injured in the emergency landing, which one California Highway Patrol official called "nothing short of a miracle." A student-pilot had been preparing to land at nearby Gillespie Field when the engine failed, according to CHP. The instructor took control of the aircraft and managed to land the plane safely, avoiding homes, power lines and traffic as he touched down on the busy highway, originally blocking two lanes of freeway before guiding the plane to the Mollison Avenue off-ramp for I-8 West, which was still blocked as of 4 p.m. The site of the landing was less than...

**SNIP** The vehicles stuck each other in the northbound lanes of I-5 in Sacramento, Calif., around 3:44 a.m., according to Mike Zerfas, California Highway Patrol public information officer. The two drivers, both male, then drove farther north on the freeway, stopped near Del Paso Road, exited their vehicles and began to fight, Zerfas said. One of the drivers was killed in the fight after suffering what appears to be blunt force trauma. Then the second driver, walking north on the freeway, was struck and killed by a passing motorist.

LOS ANGELES — A man wearing only boxer shorts, socks and high-top sneakers shut down all southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles after scaling an exit sign on Wednesday morning. An off-duty sheriff's lieutenant, his wife and a good Samaritan helped rescue a kitten after he ran through traffic on the 60 Freeway in the Diamond Bar area and then got stuck in the engine compartment of a stopped vehicle, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Wednesday. Lt. Min Dinh, a 31-year veteran of the department, and his wife, retired sheriff's Lt. Jenny Ha, were driving home from church on the westbound 60 near the Grand Avenue exit on Sunday when they saw a woman sitting on a blanket in the emergency lane. The couple pulled over to help...

The California Department of Transportation, in cooperation with a joint powers authority, will in June begin buying land to build a 63-mile high desert freeway connecting the Los Angeles County communities of Palmdale and Lancaster with the San Bernardino County communities of Victorville, Apple Valley and Adelanto. ... The county’s first new freeway in a quarter-century is something of a throwback, as regional planners have shifted their focus in recent years toward mass transit and infill development to combat snarled traffic and housing shortages. Yet it serves as a reminder that even as Los Angeles moves to encourage more density...

The vehicles are westbound on the 10 Freeway in Banning when the rocket’s plume begins to cut through the darkening sky. The driver in the vehicle with the camera and his children can be heard talking about the rocket in amazement while he slows for the wall of brake lights forming in front of them as other drivers take notice. Moments after they drive under the South San Gorgonio Avenue overpass, a thud is heard and then a white four-door vehicle in the next lane is shoved into the car in front of it by a van that rear-ended it....
