There is a lot of debate these days about whether the United States owes its African-American citizens reparations for slavery. It does. But there is a far bigger bill that the United States and Europe have run up: what they owe to other countries for their colonial adventures, for the wars they imposed on them, for the inequality they have built into the world order, for the excess carbon they have dumped into the atmosphere.
The creditor countries aren’t seriously suggesting that the West send sacks of gold bullion every year to India or Nigeria. Their people are asking for fairness: for the borders of the rich countries to be opened to goods and people, to Indian textiles as well as Nigerian doctors. In seeking to move, they are asking for immigration as reparations.

Based on this logic the countries of the former Hapsburg Empire have zero obligation to take in migrants since they did not have overseas colonies. So Orban is 100% right to refuse to admit migrants.
Here’s the difference NYT.
Wherever we or the European’s went, we brought education, medicine, commerce and, in general, civilization.
What the invaders are bringing is disease, crime, dependency, and in general, barbarianism.
We owe those other countries nothing. They are enjoying the benefits of Western Civilization and technology. When they don’t live by Western standards they sink into barbarism - a prime example of which are most of the countries of Africa.

As for Nigerian “doctors”, we only trained them so that people IN NIGERIA could get medical treatment. We have way more then enough people already who can do the work and do it far better then some guy who struggled through a third tier med school to get his degree. The “West.” That’s a very broad category! What them mean is that some country, sometime, once in the past, for a few days didn’t respect the borders of some other country, and so as a result we have to let millions of savages trample our soil, eat our food, rape our women, and chop off a few heads.

and besides that; the NATIONS did not do anything (anymore than guns kill) to Africans or any other people. It was the people who lived in those Nations that did anything..what ever it was...and they are all dead. The people that live in them now are far removed and numerous generations past from what happened and they own nothing to anyone ...African or anyone else. Why do we even print the garbage that NYT publishes.
