“Italians hold their d-—s even more than we do.” - Eddie Murphy
That’s all we need more...
Eye-talians are ate up and probably have blogs.
My blond haired blue eyed Tuscan mother would have been very surpised.
that’s whacked... and i am italian...
I don’t recall the exact name of our FReeper brother from Staten Island but he needs to be on this thread. dp something...
White is a color
Italy has 3 different ethnic zones
Southern Italy and Sicily were populated by Greek colonists with small mixture of North African people here tend to be short and darker
Middle Italy was the Latins Aka Romans
Northern Italy has large mixture of Celtic and Germanic (Visigoths and Lombards) people here are fairer with blonds
No, man. Italians are “Latin.” Old school. And there was no “X” in Latin, either, unless you were counting to 10. We were “X” before Malcolm. Ten X’s and you became a C for Centurion.
Woah Fugetaboutit.
My gumbas will not be happy about it. Except maybe the Sicilians. (Kidding).
The northern Italians already consider south of Rome moolanyans. So Im of color I guess.
As an Eyetalian American I hate it when my salad is culturally appropriated.
Another “group” trying to climb on the Affirmative Action gravy train?
LOL.
Who can forget this classic commercial:

(Little girl ordering a Pepsi)
I’d like a Wop salad please....
Nice try by the author but Italians agree the original no need for affirmative action people who embraced the American dream.
Many Italians from Southern Italy and Sicily are “people of color” because they have significant numbers of African DNA as a result of various ethnic groups who have occupied Southern Italy and Sicily throughout history. For example, my wife, whose family immigrated from Napoli, recently found out, that she is not 50% Irish and 50% Italian as she had been told; rather, she is about 43% Irish, 40% Italian, 10% North African, 5% Greek, and 2% French.
How about the Portagees?
PING!
My Grandfather would have told most of those on this thread
“Mettilo dove il sole non splende”
Here’s the commercial he’s so worked up about. I would say he’s exaggerating just a little.
