Middle Italy was the Latins Aka Romans
Northern Italy has large mixture of Celtic and Germanic (Visigoths and Lombards) people here are fairer with blonds

Nice try by the author but Italians agree the original no need for affirmative action people who embraced the American dream.

For example, my wife, whose family immigrated from Napoli, recently found out, that she is not 50% Irish and 50% Italian as she had been told; rather, she is about 43% Irish, 40% Italian, 10% North African, 5% Greek, and 2% French.
