the pulse rate can be altered by at least 30 percent, between sixty and eighty pulses per minute.
I wonder ie it occurred to any of them that this corresponds
to the human heart beat?
Imagine the pyramid pulsing, throbbing to the rate of
a human heart...the Pharaoh LIVES!!!
Hey, it’s as good a theory as any.

And where's the inlet for the water? And where's the outlet? And why did the Egyptians maintain the Nilometer for centuries if they weren't simply relying on the out-of-season flood of the Nile to support their agriculture (and why did they write about doing that, but wrote literally NOTHING about pumps?). Thanks Monkey Face.

Thanks for the ping. Fascinating theory and analysis. Makes sense, but building it was an awful lot of work.

If the pyramids were all giant pumps, wouldn’t they need to have similar interior designs? As far as I know they don’t.

If you look close when walking around the pyramids you will see a faucet....
To: SunkenCiv
See? Our great minds trump the inanity of pumps.

So the purpose of the pump system was to provide a ‘heartbeat’ to the pyramid that could be heard a miles away 24/7 and never stopped, thus keeping superstitious grave robbers at bay?.................

I just recently watched a video on this. Ill have to look for it. Im guessing it was Cadman because scale models had been built. IIRC, The first was glass so you could see the function but the shock was so intense it blew up...

Ping to a really interesting article. Maybe hydrology will return to Libya, but this ancient pyramid pump would have hydrated large swaths of land in Egypt.
maybe build one in the outback? LOL.
