3 Brit papers only. Nothing on this side of the pond.
Maybe we cant believe it until we see the transcripts or hear the tape.
They sent coretta a copy of one of the tapes . They definitely exist and they are definitely damning
Hoover and the Kennedys would have destroyed him if they had these tapes.
btt
This has more or less been known for years. I long cautioned against turning Dr. King into a plaster saint. He accomplished a great deal in the way of reform, but the halo was never a good fit.
And if Trump had done anything like this, we’d never hear the end of it.
Hypocrites will gladly state the great men who founded this country were evil slave owners but at the same time will refuse to let these inconvient allegations see the scrutiny of investigation and fact checking.

How does a tape recording accuse the people recorded?
All this was discussed before Jesse Jackson was missed by James Earl Ray and MLK was accidentally hit ....... but the infancy of political correctness and racism killed that information about MLK being a whoremonger .......
Not sure why this is a surprise. I knew at least 20 years ago King had affairs with other women.
exactly.
There is wisdom in the The Holy Church's Canonization process. MLK was secularly cannonized way too soon and with no scrutiny.
The story, as it is told, doesn’t pass the smell test.
There were several women & men present?
MLK watched & laughed as ONE woman was raped?
The other women either disappeared, or looked on silently?
And never told a soul for over 50 years?
Sounds like a page from the Avenatti playbook.
I’ve no problem believing MLK was a serial cheater, however.
Charismatic men usually are.
My beloved thinks a member of the Black Movement actually took him out.
I think MLK’s wife knew he was a monster behind closed doors; much like Hillary, she wanted to keep receiving the benefits of being known as Mrs MLK, and didn’t care how he actually behaved as long as the useful idiots didn’t find wind of it.
This would also explain why, after MLK’s purported killer told them Mrs MLK he didn’t kill MLK, they believed him...
MLK led a dirty, sinful, double life, but the "P***y Eaters Club" sounds completely ridiculous.
Over half his PhD thesis was plagiarized.
His legal name always remained MIKE KING, it was only his father’s which had legally changed.
His best white friend —who wrote most his speeches— was very high up in the Communist Party of the USA.
Some debate how much a Communist he was but certainly his GOP registry was a ruse.
“Hoover and the Kennedys would have destroyed him if they had these tapes.”
One of my friends in college in the 1960s was the son of a Washington Evening Star columnist. This friend told me about the existence of FBI tapes, widely known among DC insiders like his father, that documented Kings philandering behavior. I dont know if these are the same tapes, and I didn’t know of the allegation that he witnessed a rape. I do clearly remember being told that one of the tapes had King boasting, I is the king of the p***y eaters.
This is the third or fourth time in two days I’ve read breathless exclamations trashing MLK. And all of this comes from an illegal FBI wiretap sometime 55 years ago. A wiretap conducted by the Prancing homosexual dressed in women’s clothes J Edgar Hoover. Kinda makes me wonder why this is suddenly newsworthy, and why the FBI is suddenly supposed to be believable.
I think what is actually happening here is the FBI letting a lot of people out there know that they have their secrets on tape, they’re freaking out that Trump is getting ready to declassify. Bunch of criminal thugs need to be disbanded
His message of nonviolence - even if just tactical - was positive.
At the time I did not agree with King's siding with the North Vietnamese and their allies against the U.S. while we had an army in the field.
And at the time I did not agree with King's agitation for a “guaranteed annual income” from the federal government.
And I did not agree with his proposed ban on the development of U.S. nuclear weapons and redirecting those funds to social programs.
And to this day, I don't like men who beat women with their fists.
