E-2 visa
The E-2 Investor Visa allows an individual to enter and work inside of the United States based on an investment he or she will be controlling, while inside the United States. This visa must generally be renewed every two years, but there is no limit to how many times one can renew.

The investment must be “substantial.” Investor visas are available only to citizens of certain countries. E-2 visas are also available to non-investor employees of the business, as long as the persons are of the same nationality as the investor and are destined for a role in the US business that is either executive/supervisory or requires specialized skills that are essential to the efficient operation of the US enterprise.

Classic US immigration policy action... hurting the most deserving immigrants, while allowing illegals to stream into the country unobstructed.
I would venture most of these E-2 visas are of questionable value to the US. I believe they were used to finance the construction new stadium in Florida. A bunch of rich middle eastern types bought in to get their kids on the path to a green card.
They do it intentionally in order to stoke anger against immigration restraints. Worst case I ever heard of was when an American citizen who was married to a Mexican woman got killed in Iraq. They deported his wife because she was no longer married to him. This is what happens when you let the Dems run the bureaucracies.
The reason we're in this immigration mess is that we keep making exceptions and allowing 'special circumstances'.
The father and sons seem like great people and real assets to this country.
But this fits the standard left-wing narrative - 'pity the poor hard-working immigrant'.
What laws do we enforce and ignore?
How can we give these people a pass and then demand the government stop illegal immigrants from Mexico and Central America?
The two boys can go back, get an apartment, and file for work visas and citizenship.
I'd like to see this done as an example of how to work within the system.
