Keep an open mind on a 2nd marriage. Just have a long engagement so you know how they’ll react during hard times or stress. My 2nd is now into its 40th year. He used to cringe and almost cry when I’d duck if he’d move too fast. It took awhile for me to stop doing that. He’s a keeper and we love each other dearly. He even adopted the boys the day after our wedding.
I love your story. You know, I do still love hearing about successful second marriages. We will see what Gd brings. I still don’t want to bring another adult into the house with my kids but I know some are wildly happy. Glad it worked out for you!
