Why are men “afraid” of commitment?
I was surprised recently to discover my wife had never heard of Men Going Their Own Way. I have to admit, if I were in my 30s or 40s I probably would be one of them. There is a great documentary on this, IIRC the title is “Red Pill” or some such.
A vision of a 2nd divorce is a bit scary to me.
I’m thankful that I’m not dating. I honestly believe that if I were a young man, I’d look outside of America for a wife.
Today’s American woman, in general, is self centered, irrationally empowered, and totally demanding. Women are the best, they can have it all, it’s a man’s duty to submit and serve. And if divorce happens, in most states, the man is roasted alive.
If you are a male, and don’t want kids, why buy the cow when the milk is free?

I can’t decide if I want to answer a question about commitment.
Because women think and look like their mothers at around 65.
There is joy in being a dad in a stable marriage. That is an advantage for men. That is normal. It’s wonderful to be a father. Unfortunately, most married men cannot count on the marriage being stable.
Any time the woman wants to, or gets a feeling that she doesn’t care to control, she can dump the man and keep half of his assets. The man then has to be concerned about earning enough money to support himself and enable him to be a father. However, men are being denied jobs because they are men. Thus the man is castrated and less of a man. This is the result of the man-hating (misandry) that saturates our institutions (law, education, military, religion, etc.)
The desire to be a dad can be fullfilled only in a marriage. Given the risks of getting married, many men will choose not to be married, or dads.
So when women complain about men not wanting to commit, this explains why.
I am disgusted with a culture and society that does not value masculinity, my sacrificial acts, and my willingness to take calculated risks ... coupled with the utter contempt for me by racists, sexists, and authoritarian leftists regarding my faith, heritage, skin color, and gender.
Until morale improves, many are "on their own" ....
Because the commitment being asked for is an entirely one-way affair. No commitment is being made to the man. Not fidelity, not lifelong partnership, not the chance to raise kids.
It’s like being asked to flip a coin where if you call it wrong your life becomes a continuous never-ending Kafkaesque nightmare.
Western Societies have turned many women into malcontents...
Told them their irrational feelings are all that matters, and yes ladies, many of you have incredibly irrational feelings, and even on the rare occasion they admit their feelings are irrational, the man is still in the dog house for not validating their feelings, even if they are completely insane.
Not all obviously, but lots and lots of them.
You expect your boyfriend to be your girlfriend, become a dyke... because I love you, but honestly, I really don’t give a flying eff that the check out girl at the supermarket was slightly rude to you today, and that 3 second interaction is something you feel I must drop my life to listen to you bitch about it for 25-30 minutes as soon as I walk through the door after a full days work.
I am not opposed to marriage, but I don’t blame any guy today for avoiding it... many women are ungrateful harpies.
It has nothing to do with "commitment".
In modern American culture, society and law, marriage is an extremely unwise option for men.
Support of the Anti Constitutional modern American culture, society and law is also unwise.
