I have a ppbk of it, picked it up in my early teens, and, you guessed it, never read it. We had a massively condensed version in a Lit book my, uh, sophomore year in high school, and I managed to skate through without reading it, and from the class silence as our teacher went over it, no one else had read it either. When he asked what happened at some point in the text, I was the only to respond (or I was making eye contact and he called on me, don't remember) I made a lucky guess that everything thought was some smart remark, and it was correct. Heh...

Yay, you!!! My advice? Watch the movie with Angelina Jolie and Sir Anthony Hopkins. No one under 21, though, as Ms Jolie emerges from the sea sans costume.
