Students Lead a Worldwide Climate Strike. Will Adults Listen?
Rolling Stone ^ | 3/15/19 | TESSA STUART

Posted on 03/16/2019 7:26:07 AM PDT by Libloather

Last August, when she began her climate strike outside the Swedish parliament, 16-year-old Greta Thunberg was all alone. “I tried to bring people along to join me,” Thunberg recently told Rolling Stone, “but no one was really interested, and so I had to do it by myself.” But around the world, children and teenagers — worried about their future and exasperated by adults’ overwhelming failure to address climate change — soon took notice.

Thousands joined Thunberg, now a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, on Friday, gathering at some 1,600 strike locations in more than 100 countries around the world — Sweden, Germany, the U.K., France, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Finland, Uganda, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, Korea, Japan, India — for the School Strike 4 Climate.

"I started to realize, ‘Wow, I’ve lived in climate change my whole life’ — my earliest memories were of the droughts,” she says. “Our reservoir dried up one time — where we got our water supply. I just started to realize that I’ve always been around this.” She came across a story about Thunberg, read about the speech she gave at the 2018 United Nations COP24 climate conference in Poland and her call to action.

OK, kids. Throw away your smartphones and go live among primitives with no house, no running water, no electricity, no toilets and plenty of bugs and snakes. See how long you last trying to “save the planet.”

Seeing how stupid you are, maybe sterilization would be a good idea, so as not to contaminate the gene pool.

Why *should* adults listen to ignorant and self-righteous children?

Rolling Stone is doing what Rolling Stone has done since the 1960s. Pandering to the conceits of idiot children.

“Stopping the hoards of water sucking illegal immigrants would be the most reasonable solution”

And she’s one of them.

This article is part of a coordinated campaign that has no “children” running it. The schools are aiding and abetting the walkout because it’s a Rat party initiative to ramp up taxes and keep themselves eating.

As for droughts, there’s 50 feet of snow in the Sierras for the second time in 3 years, there is NO part of California classified as “drought” except for some tiny places in the deserts, and the real problem this year is going to be the flooding during the runoffs which will start right about now.

And as we all know, most of the water will run to the sea because the idiots wont build new reservoirs to accommodate the 20 million illegal and legal aliens over the last 35 years.

By donating hundreds of billions of dollars to African despots.

noun

noun: strike; plural noun: strikes

1. a refusal to work organized by a body of employees as a form of protest, typically in an attempt to gain a concession or concessions from their employer.

"dockers voted for an all-out strike"

synonyms: industrial action, walkout

"staff held a 48-hour strike"

When a group is On Strike, they are NOT doing something that is beneficial to other people. When airline pilots, (for example) strike, they are not piloting airplanes.

Exactly what good or service are these kids depriving anyone of?????

I’ve lived with climate change my whole life, too, and that goes for every living being.

I’ve also lived through the Population Bomb/Explosion (we’re all gonna DIE!), the coming Ice Age (we’re all gonna DIE!), the rain forests are disappearing (we’re all gonna DIE!) plus other “disasters”.

I’m also familiar with the stories “Chicken Little” and “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.”

You want to make a liberal’s head explode? Ask them what the carbon footprint is of millions of illegal aliens and their weed eaters, mowers, blowers, etc. Here is Texas where I live, about 80% of the people don’t mow their own yards anymore. Illegals mostly do it. And they require you to sign a year round contract so that they can be employed all year. So, they get paid to mow dead grass and blow a few leaves around for five months. Think of all the carbon emissions. The horror, the horror. Or you might inform them that the reason for traffic jams in big cities and the associated pollution is from millions of new drivers being here that were not invisioned when the highways were designed.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a giant nuclear furnace that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?
