House Judiciary Committee Republicans on Tuesday released hundreds of pages of transcripts from last year's closed-door interview with ex-FBI attorney Lisa Page, revealing new details about the bureau's controversial internal discussions regarding an “insurance policy” against then-candidate Donald Trump. Page first entered the spotlight in December 2017, when it was revealed by the Justice Department inspector general that she and then-FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok exchanged numerous anti-Trump text messages. The two were involved in the FBI’s initial counterintelligence investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates during the 2016 election, and later served on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. LISA PAGE TESTIMONY: COLLUSION STILL UNPROVEN BY THE TIME OF MUELLER'S SPECIAL COUNSEL APPOINTMENT Among their texts was one concerning the so-called "insurance policy." During her interview with the Judiciary Committee in July 2018, Page was questioned at length about that text -- and essentially confirmed this referred to the Russia investigation while explaining that officials were proceeding with caution, concerned about the implications of the case while not wanting to go at "total breakneck speed" and risk burning sources as they presumed Trump wouldn't be elected anyway.

Despite all the evidence that there was a government plot to rig a Presidential election,prevent the duly elected man from assuming office and then harass him to prevent him from governing , there have been no arrests, the culprits remain noisy and free, and all the incriminating documents and testimony remains hidden.
One thing is certain. Trump learned nothing from the crafty Sicilians he encountered over 30 years in the NYC construction business. You don’t let your enemies laugh and ridicule you. Soon people get unalterable impressions.
Was the question asked, “Why was it referred to as an ‘insurance’ policy.” The answer was in case Trump was elected. She is parcing (which is close enough to a lie for Mueller). Insurance = A way to get Trump out of office or disqualified before taking office in case he was elected.
She tries to make it sound like they were discussing the pace of the investigation. It seemed like they were in a damn hurry before the election. Lies couldn’t leak fast enough. Then, once the election was over, the rate of leaks seemed to actually pick up. The FBI and DOJ turned into a umbrella made of fishing net.
It’s like a soap opera.
You tune in a month, even a year, later and everyone
is still talking about the same thing.

I do belive that if the Democrats had not of beloved the media’s polling they would have had the media run stories the week before the election accusing Trump of being a Russian accet or Putin puppet. I belive the other reason they did not do this is they didnt want any cloud over Hillerys coronation..anyway our President has had to endure more than we can emigen it sure is a lot easier to be a Dem it’s a shame our country has decended into the dark age and I don’t see things getting nothing but worse

It sounds to me that regardless of whether Trump got elected or not, they were going to come after him but they could do it at leisure - bleed him dry with legal bills - a lesson to the non-political class that would dare to enter the halls of the Capitol without signing allegiance to the deep state pledges.
