Brooklyn firefighter (quota hire) finally fired after third domestic violence arrest
New York Post ^ | March 9, 2019 | Dana Schuster and Susan Edelman

The FDNY has finally fired its alleged woman-beater smoke-eater.

Brooklyn firefighter Clyde Phillips was axed Wednesday after his third arrest stemming from charges of domestic violence, The Post has learned.

Phillips was charged on Feb. 23 in Caldwell, NJ with contempt for violating a New York City restraining order put in place after a 2018 attack on an ex-girlfriend, said Katherine Carter, spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

Carter said a violation could include anything from phoning or texting to physical contact, but she would not elaborate.

The FDNY suspended Phillips on Feb. 27, then fired him on March 6 under the terms of a “stipulation,” or signed agreement, that he could be terminated immediately if arrested again, spokesman Jim Long confirmed. Long had no further comment.

The 37-year-old, who made $123,699 in 2018 at Engine Co. 234 in Crown Heights, has a history of alleged violence against women.

...

Phillips is a former subway engineer who fraudulently took a family leave from the MTA to attend the Fire Academy in 2014, officials said.

He was the lowest-scoring of 282 “priority hires” ordered by a Brooklyn federal judge who ruled that minority candidates were victims of race bias.

I'm against racial preferences. When they are in place, studies should be done of how those hired due to preferences later perform. I believe the "Brooklyn federal judge" mentioned is Nicholas Garaufis.

But did he hold onto his tuna Subway sandwich when the white MAGA thugs assaulted him with bleach and a rope?

NYC judge declares Fire department must hire on the color of ones skin and not the content of their character.

Unions support violence against women.

Then again now the beaten spouse must additionally deal with less or no income coming in. So life problems are compounded with further homelessness.

“Brooklyn firefighter Clyde Phillips was axed Wednesday after his third arrest...”

Yeah, but what did they axe him?

Inquiring minds want to know...

124,000?? wow.

If that blows your mind, then what does the fact that it would be difficult to raise a family in the NY area on that much do for you?

I live on Staten Island.

Have a million firefighter friends.

But they’re 50 now and retired.

I haven’t followed the fireman salary increases through the years because I didn’t give a #### :)

South Africa fired their white engineers after the black ANC took over. They are perpetually perplexed as to why their entire infrastructure is crumbling. Blackouts. Water quality deterioration. Water shortages. Etc etc etc

Lenin did much the same after the Soviets took over Russia. Only in his case employment as factory managers was based not on race, but rather on class. Janitors were promoted to overseers because anyone could do the job of managing. Before long the Soviet economy was in collapse, counter revolution seemed quite possible; and so Lenin initiated his New Economic Policy, restored some sanity to production, and saved The Revolution...for Stalin.

"NYC judge declares Fire department must hire on the color of ones skin and not the content of their character."

That's because NYC judges are placed in their positions because of their treasonous insanity, not the content of their character.

I was thinking the same thing. That salary would be nice where I live, but it wouldn’t make you rich if you were a young family with kids looking for a decent size house.

That salary works out to $2378.83 WEEKLY.

I live on $1188 a MONTH on Soc Security. Many around me have even less.....and we worked for over 60 years under Social Security.

lol

what an idiot.

I guess the salary is about right for NYC.

I’m 50 and I guess I still think about what my friends got paid 25 years ago.

I forgot i’m getting old :)

This was his third offense and they don’t say what it was but at that point all he had to do was CALL her and he was done.

Idiot.
