[Feb 2nd] Smollett Siblings & Their Ex Black Panther Mom Finally Speak On Jussie’s Racist Attack

iloveoldschoolmusic.com ^ | Feb 2, 2019

The past three days have been deeply trying for Empire actor, Jussie Smollett, to say the least.

After being brutally attacked by racists early Tuesday (January 29, 2019) morning, an ongoing investigation has resulted in several discoveries, but still no suspects apprehended.

Now, Jussie’s five siblings and Moms have decided to address the violent attack, as well as what they plan on doing about it going forward.

FYI: Their Mom was an activist and a member of The Black Panther Party back in the day.

So neither she, nor her kids, will simply take this violent racist/homophobic attack against her baby lying down.

From the New York Times...

"Jussie and Jurnee still count their mother, Janet Smollett, as their only acting coach. An African-American from New Orleans, Ms. Smollett met their father, Joel Smollett Sr., a Russian-Polish Jew, in the Bay Area, where they campaigned for civil rights.

“My mom was in the movement with Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, and one of her first mentors was Julian Bond,” Mr. Smollett said of the Black Panther founders and the civil rights leader.

“To this day, Angela Davis is one of her dearest friends. We’ve spent Mother’s Day with Angela.”..."

Thank you for posting this.

This is all starting to make sense.

There may be much more to this "HOAX" than little punk sissy boy and his two lackeys.

Afterall ..... there were a lot more people behind Christine Blasey Ford's efforts than first appeared.

The Democrats are pure evil.

It's way, way past time to have the discussion about the reality of American blacks, and where we are in society in 2019. Slavery was unconscionable, and cruel, and horrible, and immoral, and blacks suffered immensely because of it. Other races and ethnicities around the world have also suffered from slavery, and it is an abomination that there are those who are suffering under slavery today.

However, there is no slavery in America today, and no one alive today who had anything to do with owning slaves. Yes, there are racists in society, including white racists, black racists, asian racists, etc. Nonetheless, we have the most free and accepting society in the world, and all of us are lucky to live here. People like the Smollett family, and Maxine Waters, and Jessie Jackson, etc., who perpetuate the myth of an ongoing systemic/systematic anti-black society are destructive voices whose influence contributes to the regression of great progress in race relations. They need to be called out, and this uncovering of deceit by Jussie Smollett is the tip of the iceberg. All racists should be called out, whether they be white or another color.

It’s the late 1960’s all over again.

Whites are arming up, all over again. In 1969 I mounted an 18” police barrel on my Model 870. Still have it.

Something’s going to blow up soon. Except not only is the “victim” black, but the uncharged duo and a very angry police chief as well.

How this gets turned into racial war will require the military genius of a Don Lemon.

;^)

Empire star Jussie Smollett gets $100,000 bail as he’s supported by his family after police said he STAGED racist and homophobic attack because he was not happy with $100,000-an-episode salary

………

Jussie Smollett leaves jail after posting $100k bail after prosecutor details video evidence against him and reveals he’d previously bought DRUGS from the brothers he paid to attack him after texting ‘might need your help on the low’
The actor’s siblings, Jazz, Jocqui, Jake, and Jojo were pictured arriving at the Cook County Criminal Court before his bond hearing on Thursday afternoon

A judge set Smollett’s bond at $100,000, which he will have to pay a portion of, and told him to give up his passport
Prosecutors shared an extremely detailed timeline of the night of the attack and the days beforehand
Smollett sent himself a threatening, racist and homophobic letter on January 22 to get more money from 20th Century Fox, police said Thursday

When that did not work, he hired brothers Abel and Ola Osundairo to attack him on January 25
On January 27, he took them to the exact location where he wanted it to happen and pointed out surveillance cameras nearby
Smollett was in contact with them an hour before the incident, an hour afterwards and when they were in Nigeria, laying low for two weeks

When they returned on February 13, they were picked up by police and later confessed ‘the entire plot’
Smollett paid $10,000, ten percent of his bond, and agreed to surrender his passport

The 36-year-old will return to court on March 14 to face a felony charge of filing a false police report

Jussie was po’d that he made ONLY $65,000 per episode.

*Obviously*, he was being discriminated against because he was black.

Oh, wait a minute, the whole cast is black.

“Was Kamala Harris part of the Jussie Smollett hoax?”

If indeed this is true, Smollett won't be waiting years in prison for the slim chance that she might get elected and just might give him a pardon. He will indeed be working a deal and giving her up very quickly!

But what if he attempts to make this deal with the wrong corrupt people? He could likely be found with that noose in some dark Chicago alley, long before he gets to trial.

I lived in Marin County when Angela Davis and the Black Panthers terrorized the Court House. If Jussie’s mother s friends with Angela, we can just imagine what kind of racism these kids were drenched in growing up.
No wonder he thinks he can stage a hoax and walk away a hero.

Angela Davis

Other activities in the 1970s

Cuba

After her acquittal, Davis went on an international speaking tour in 1972 and included Cuba, where she had previously been received by Fidel Castro in 1969 as a member of a Communist Party delegation.[47]

Robert F. Williams, Huey Newton, Stokely Carmichael had also visited there, and Assata Shakur [Joanne Chesimard] lives there after escaping from U.S. prison.

Her reception by Afro-Cubans at a mass rally was so enthusiastic that she was reportedly barely able to speak.[48]

Davis perceived Cuba to be a racism-free country, which led her to believe that, “only under socialism could the fight against racism be successfully executed.”

When she returned to the United States, her socialist leanings increasingly influenced her understanding of race struggles.[49]

In 1974, she attended the Second Congress of the Federation of Cuban Women.[47]

Soviet Union
Davis and Valentina Tereshkova, 1972

In 1971 the CIA estimated that five percent of Soviet propaganda efforts were directed towards the Angela Davis campaign.

In August 1972, Davis visited the USSR at the invitation of the Central Committee, and received an honorary doctorate from Moscow State University.[50]

On May 1, 1979, she was awarded the Lenin Peace Prize from the Soviet Union.[51]

She visited Moscow later that month to accept the prize, where she praised “the glorious name” of Lenin and the “great October Revolution”.[52]

East Germany
Davis and Erich Honecker in GDR, 1972

The East German government organized an extensive campaign on behalf of Davis.[53]

In September 1972, Davis visited East Germany, where she met Erich Honecker, received an honorary degree from the University of Leipzig and the Star of People’s Friendship from Walter Ulbricht.

On September 11 in East Berlin she delivered a speech, “Not Only My Victory”, praising the GDR and USSR and denouncing American racism, and visited the Berlin Wall.[54][55][56]

In 1973 she returned to East Berlin leading the U.S. delegation to the 10th World Festival of Youth and Students.[57]

Jonestown and Peoples Temple

In the mid-1970s, Jim Jones, who developed the cult Peoples Temple, initiated friendships with progressive leaders in the San Francisco area including Dennis Banks of the American Indian Movement AIM and Davis.[58]

On September 10, 1977, 14 months before the Temple’s mass murder-suicide, Davis spoke via amateur radio telephone “patch” to members of his Peoples Temple living in Jonestown in Guyana.[59][60]

In her statement during the “Six Day Siege”, she expressed support for the People’s Temple anti-racism efforts and told members there was a conspiracy against them.

She said, “when you are attacked, it is because of your progressive stand, and we feel that it is directly an attack against us as well.”[61]

Representation in other media

The Rolling Stones song “Sweet Black Angel,” recorded in 1970 and released on their album Exile on Main Street (1972), is dedicated to Davis. It is one of the band’s few overtly political releases.[42]

Bob Dylan’s song “George Jackson” (1971) is a tribute to George Jackson, one of the Soledad Brothers and the older brother of Jonathan Jackson, who was killed during an escape attempt from San Quentin.[43]

John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded their song “Angela” on their album Some Time in New York City (1972) in support, and a small photo of her appears on the album’s cover at the bottom-left.
