When the socialists take over, they will look back at the change to popular election of Senators as their most important win.

Yup. And by the way I don't know if you intended it this way but I do believe that unless there is some significant event to change the trajectory, it is indeed a matter of "when" not "if". I don't think Trump can turn the tide alone, and he is all alone in that swamp full of liars, thieves, and traitors.

"...Electoral College vs. Popular Vote..."

They will be loudly pounding that drum bigly over the next few years.
It is an "easy sell" to a typical slack-jawed, dope-smoking, low information young voter.

We had a former state GOP chairman pushing that. If common sense wasn’t enough to change his mind, you’d think recent history would.

Since you believe that one world government, one religion, one currency, etc are the ultimate destiny, who will be in charge? what will happen to China and Russia?

The good news / bad news is that changing the constitution is basically impossible in the current political reality. That’s good because it prevents leftist politicians from just annulling the whole thing. It’s bad because it prevents us from overruling leftists judges who do the same thing from the bench by declaring whatever whim they have as being carved into the bedrock of the constitution. This is why leftists fight like crazy to keep control of the juciciary intact (and yes, I say “keep”. They control enough low level courts to judge shop and have a solid majority in the SCOTUS now with Breyer, Sotomayor, Kagan, Ginsburg, and Roberts in their pockets)

My understanding is that Prophetically, china and russia will rise to power. Many scholars believe that.

Although there are those that would disagree, and perhaps they are correct, but it’s always concerned me that America doesn’t seem to be mentioned as a super power, which would lead me to believe that America would suffer a strategic loss. The red army is building fast.

I think it’s Ezekiel 38 that expounds on this.

That’s why I have to wonder if their plan to increase entitlement spending could cause a financial collapse. If I understand the cloward piven strategy, it would deliberately cause the economic collapse, followed by blaming Capitalism, (which I fear the masses would illiterately agree) and from the ruins, they would set out to replace Capitalism with a form of communism. Would the Constitution have any sway amidst a civil war?

Consider the outlandish policies the left is proposing. Are they the least bit shy about proposing agenda’s which would bankrupt this country? Which leads me to believe that is their goal. 10 years ago even this would have been impossible to comprehend, but given the fast track to destruction, it not only seems likely, but inevitable.

“The founding documents presupposed a unity among the people that was based on a reasonable consensus of commonly held values. That consensus no longer exists.”

Exactly. Which means all bets are off. The lemmings are stampeding. The country is listing badly. Prepare for all hell to break loose.

The contemporary New World Order/ One World champions do not recognize international boundaries. They are not loyal to country and despise sovereignty.

The Constitution does provided an answer. Concern trolls and the left are in the way of the cure.

Little Rock, AR, February 14, 2019 – Convention of States Action, the largest Article V grassroots organization in the country, is pleased to announce that today Arkansas became the 13th state to call for an Article V convention to propose constitutional amendments that impose fiscal restraints on Washington, limit its power and jurisdiction, and set term limits for federal officials.

I’m all for the stated goals, but does this pose the possibility of unintended consequences. Aren’t there inherent risks of opening up a convention to Amendments? Is the current political climate one in which the odds are favorable for positive change? Or are we as a nation at the point where it’s now or never?

No more risk than what Congress already has. You will note that over the years the amendments that Congress has offered has tended to concentrate power in DC. This is why a COS is needed, to move power back to the states. Why would the states hand even more power to Congress when after so much effort they finally have a chance to take power back for themselves? It’s the same process to get any amendments ratified so the worry is not what terrible amendments will pass, it’s more likely some decent amendments won’t get ratified.

Freedom and Liberty are not free.

They don’t always cost blood but they may. The fight is on us. Are we willing to give some of our money to FR and Trump? Are we willing to fight a small battle? Get involved in some way. Even wear a MAGA hat.

Folks, the fact that contributions to FR are such an effort tells me freedom and liberty are not worth it to many here. I am not encouraged about the future based on this one simple fact...…………………………………………..

Actually, I posted this in an attempt to learn. I have always frequented this site to gain insight and knowledge. In my estimation, 99% of the members here appear to be very knowledgeable on this topic. Hence, the opportunity to learn that which I failed to learn as a public school student.

As for the other 1%, I’ll let you decide. Thanks.
