A mother was arrested in front of her children and locked up for seven hours after referring to a transgender woman as a man online.
Three officers detained Kate Scottow at her home before quizzing her at a police station about an argument with an activist on Twitter over so-called 'deadnaming'.
The 38-year-old, from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, had her photograph, DNA and fingerprints taken and remains under investigation.
More than two months after her arrest on December 1, she has had neither her mobile phone or laptop returned, which she says is hampering her studies for a Masters in forensic psychology.
Writing on online forum Mumsnet, Mrs Scottow – who has also been served with a court order that bans her from referring to her accuser as a man – claimed: 'I was arrested in my home by three officers, with my autistic ten-year-old daughter and breastfed 20-month-old son present.

The number of sex-reassignment surgeries in the U.S. increased four-fold from 2000 to 2014 as more public and private insurance plans began covering the procedure. Over the study period, diagnoses of transsexualism (TS) or gender identity disorder increased more than three-fold, from a rate of 3.87 per 100,000 patients in 2000 to 14.22 per 100,000 patients in 2014. Among those patients, the researchers found 4,118 - or 10.9% of such visits - involved sex-reassignment surgery. A sub-analysis showed genital-only procedures accounted for the majority of all sex-reassignment procedures, and that the share of genital-only procedures rose from 72% of all sex-reassignment procedures from 2000 to 2005 to 83.5% from 2006 to 2011.
As far as insurance coverage, in 2014 Medicare lifted their coverage ban on transgender surgeries - it increased from 25% in 2012-2013 to 70% in 2014, representing a three-fold increase over the three-year period.

The Affordable Care Act offers guidance to those who seek insurance to cover sex reassignment surgery, providing access to many available plans, stating that transgender health exclusions may be deemed as unlawful sex discrimination, and if you believe a plan unlawfully discriminates, you can file complaints.

I have never been very religious my whole life. But The older I have become, the more I see Satanic power/evil as a living force invading more of our society, seeking the weak to front its agenda.
At some point there will be a lot of blood spilled. There’s got to be a concerted effort by THE PEOPLE to organize and fight back. this subject is a hard one for me because I have a family member who is a women who claims to be a man. if I did mot haver my sister claiming this I would feel very free saying quite a bit on social media about the subject...I believe it is a mental disorder but I don’t even coment because all hell would break lose with in my extended family. I think that free republic is the only place I have talked openly about the subject. I think that the biggest sign of it being a mental disorder is the violence often threatened when someone does not play into there illness. the biggest problem is the fact that the illness does not interfere with there competency like other mental illness so they can get institutions to back them up. this is what has happened in Britain nd if we don’t watch out will happen here

Fox News just had a segment where they interviewed adults who had survived their mother’s abortion.
It was one of the most moving segments I have ever seen on TV.
Kate should also a DNA test be administered on her accuser to prove “it’s” true biological gender.
A long time ago, I HAD a PhD (in Developmental Psychological) friend who told me that homosexuality was re-categorized as ‘a variation of normal’ in the 70’s. I told her at the time, if it was ‘normal’ our species would die out. The Psychiatrist/Psychologist people in this country have been coopted by the Left for a very long time. I remember arguing with her over gay adoption. She would posit ‘we know that gay households are more calm than heterosexual households’. REALLY? Now we see how ‘calm’ gay households are. And I would ask ‘why do you think you have the right to decide if young children adoptees don’t deserve a father AND a mother?’. She had no children, but felt quite deserving of dictating how children should be brought up. We are now suffering for the things that were changed a long time ago, when we weren’t looking.
Will be very common in the USA before very long.
This is the ultimate loss of freedom. Jail for choice of words. We elected Trump and this kind of thing isn’t stopping.
