this subject is a hard one for me because I have a family member who is a women who claims to be a man. if I did mot haver my sister claiming this I would feel very free saying quite a bit on social media about the subject...I believe it is a mental disorder but I don’t even coment because all hell would break lose with in my extended family. I think that free republic is the only place I have talked openly about the subject. I think that the biggest sign of it being a mental disorder is the violence often threatened when someone does not play into there illness. the biggest problem is the fact that the illness does not interfere with there competency like other mental illness so they can get institutions to back them up. this is what has happened in Britain nd if we don’t watch out will happen here
A long time ago, I HAD a PhD (in Developmental Psychological) friend who told me that homosexuality was re-categorized as ‘a variation of normal’ in the 70’s. I told her at the time, if it was ‘normal’ our species would die out. The Psychiatrist/Psychologist people in this country have been coopted by the Left for a very long time. I remember arguing with her over gay adoption. She would posit ‘we know that gay households are more calm than heterosexual households’. REALLY? Now we see how ‘calm’ gay households are. And I would ask ‘why do you think you have the right to decide if young children adoptees don’t deserve a father AND a mother?’. She had no children, but felt quite deserving of dictating how children should be brought up. We are now suffering for the things that were changed a long time ago, when we weren’t looking.
It is a mental disorder, no different from the anorexic who believes they are fat or the schizophrenic who hears voices in his head.
Sadly, society has chosen to enable this mental disorder rather than treating it.
Nobody really cares about the woman->man crazies.
It’s the man->woman crazies that are a threat to civilization. They are basically all rapists looking for access to children.

Be afraid of having opinions that deviate from the opinions advocated by the state. Be very afraid.
Yeah. Shimmer1 and I had a mutual friend who switched from being a guy to being a lesbian. I don’t get it, but they’ve been decent and kind to us, and were very gracious hosts for Shimmer1’s memorial celebration.
