So, 700 hp is the level that gets all the Nanny Nancy’s panties wet.
All of you know 700 hp has been available turnkey to the proletariat for several years now with the Dodge Hellcat, right? And before that with several exotics? No one was complaining that the Monopoly Monocle Man was terrorizing the roads and wrapping up telephone polls, back when it was a rich man’s game.
Maybe we should have a free state purity test to post on this forum.
“Should require proof of being able to handle such a powerful car before one can drive it.”
“I feel you should have to have a special license to drive a 700hp mustang.”
I FEEL that a car that can go over 60 mph should require special licenses and proof that you can handle it. Government doesn’t go nearly far enough to protect us from ourselves.
I drive a 50th Anniversary Mustang GT - 435 Hp, 0-60 in 4.4. Stick shift, 6-speed. I’ve been driving decently hot cars on and off for 43 years.
The first week I had that Mustang, I scared myself by putting it in “Sport” mode, instead of “Normal”. I learned to drive it in Normal for about 6 weeks before I switched back to Sport.
I put it on Sport only in completely dry conditions, and I can still break those back tires loose just going in a straight line, without trying too hard. I’ve NEVER put it in “Track” mode... I cannot imagine that car with 700 Hp.
Correct on all counts. Amazing cars.
A far cry from the big 350 CI V8’s I started on, and with only 5 liters (300 CI)
I still miss those old ones, though.
Thank you. You’re a mind reader.
Once per charge.
Challenge the oversize golf carts to best out of five races.
I’d Volunteer!
Look At This Car!
It is possessed!
Unfortunately not by me..................................
I’ll still see one,,,,
Somewhere,,,,
Sometime.
It is irresponsible for car companies to build such powerful cars for street use. Might as well put a jet engine on them.
I think that family members need to start suing car manufacturers when their loved ones are killed by these cars. They should be illegal on public streets and highways.
Yup.......
A friend of mine has this one that he bought new, a 2006 Ford GT that spends its life in storage.
From what I've just read, these cars are now selling for close to $400,000
I touched one here in San Diego.
I should have written the check
but I’d Still be living in it.
I had a stock 1984 BMW 633Csi that went sideways on dry asphalt at a big boulevard intersection with normal throttle application. The guy I bought it from had just put sticky summer Pirellis on it but it was about 45 degrees out. Really startled me. Tires needed to be warmed up BIGLY.
Michigan State Police fielded mustang intercepters once. Once. Soon as the snow and ice showed up (in some parts of the state that would be september) they were instantly useless. They’ve not tried to introduce an interceptor since.

Hell Yeah !!! I’d like to have IROC back at this point. NUTZCAR is sucking up ARCA and I’m sure they won’t do anything to screw up ARCA. Would they ?
Yeah, Yeah I know, go take My Meds...
or up the voltage... 8^)
