Freshman lawmaker Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez dropped a hammer on Joe Lieberman on Thursday, after the onetime Democratic vice presidential candidate said he feared her brand of high-tax socialism could doom the party's chances for long-term dominance in Congress.
'I certainly hope she’s not the future and I don’t believe she is,' Lieberman said in a Fox Business Network interview. He retired in 2013 after serving 24 years in the U.S. Senate.
The 29-year-old Ocasio-Cortez retweeted the 76-year-old's sentiment with a four-word rejoinder: 'New party, who dis?'
'Who dis?' is a common response to a text message from an unknown number. Among millennials in the smartphone generation, the phrase has morphed into a snarky tool for rejecting someone by framing their approach as a mistake.

The problem with that is that any of the folks that would note the irony of that would have long before been put into camps or straight to a firing line adjacent to a trench.

More than once, I’ve heard them say “Our generation can’t wait for your generation to die.”
Never in my entire life did I think that about my elders. I respected them and what they had lived through and accomplished.
For anybody to think that is a tragedy. For a good fraction of an entire generation to share that attitude is beyond tragedy.
Burning eyed radicals of her sort frequently meet a bad end. Typically at the hands of their older and at least marginally smarter comrades. They clearly see that unless they do this, then the burning eyes will sooner or later do the same to them.
So the question becomes what is their preferred means of squelching nuisances today? And how bad do they want it to look?
Good to see the Kennedy Democrats being devoured by the monster they created.

Honestly, politicians hang on so long now they pretty much ask for this sort of thing from the rising generation. Schmucky, Pelousey, Brainless Joe...

They kept her off the powerful taxation committee. Her supporters are livid. Cracks me up.
Joe Lieberman is a cottonmouth snake hiding in a tortoise’s burrow.
Ocasio-Cortez is a rattlesnake that is exposed on a hot pavement.
In the end, they are both snakes and reprobates.
It seems to me that she is no more ridiculous than Maxine Waters, Charlie Rangel (retired), Alcee Hastings (federal judge impeached for bribery and then elected to the House anyway), Hank Johnson (who asked if deploying more troops to Guam would risk it tipping over)... and so many others!

Totally agree. We never wanted or wished for the older generation to just go ahead and die...how crazy and utterly cruel is that?
What a shame that some of the young folks do actually feel that way now. Talk about hard-hearted souls! Or maybe souless.
