Christian athlete, author, sports broadcaster and movie producer Tim Tebow is now officially an engaged man.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, the Heisman Trophy winner proposed to his girlfriend and 2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters on Wednesday.
The pair were visiting the Minor League baseball player’s family farm in Jacksonville, Florida when he decided to pop the question.
PEOPLE reports that the couple went for a walk by a small lake on his family’s property where Tebow had an arbor and bench – engraved with the day of the couple’s first date – installed.
The magazine reports that Tebow also had South African singer Matthew Mole hidden behind a hay bale and ready to serenade the newly engaged couple. After Nel-Peters said yes to marrying the former NFL Quarter Back, Mole emerged from behind the hay bale and sang “The Wedding Song” for the couple.
The pair was then joined by their family members. Tebow had flown Nel-Peters' family and friends in from South Africa as a surprise for his soon to be wife.
Thursday afternoon Nel-Peters posted a series of photos capturing the moment on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you!”

I read about this in a news article yesterday. I admire many of Tebow’s qualities, but the whole surveillance thing seemed a bit ... creepy. JMO.

Do you have any photos of your wedding day? Any photos of your newborn child? Any photos of when you were awarded the Heisman Trophy?
Some folks like to have pictorial documentation of the special times in their lives - nothing wrong with that.
I find it sweet that he wanted a visual record of his proposal. That being said, it would have been nice have kept it within the family.

Not calling you anything. Just trying to help you understand what Tim Tebow is all about since you seemed unaware. If anything I just assumed you were ignorant on the subject.
Me too - he’s one of the good ones - and her face and eyes indicate he chose well.
He planned it very sweetly and included entire family. Nothing wrong with a little documentation to share the joy. Remember she is 23. He is 30. Mild for their selfie generation.

Seems that way - and he knows he has a lot of Christian fans - nothing wrong about this...any more than having photogs at the wedding.....
