Agree. I am always amazed when people kill someone and then are given LESS than a Life Sentence.
I do know two men (NOT related to me!) who killed others in flat-out accidents; no drugs or booze involved, and they both got about 10 years apiece.
But, we’re talking about a privileged youth from a VERY wealthy family who probably saw nothing wrong with killing someone to cover up his rape of her, or her UNWILLINGNESS to give him what he wanted.
Different story/circumstance IMHO.

I saw that movie a few weeks ago. I found it chilling as well. And he got away with it but God is the ultimate judge.

I was sitting about 30 feet from Skakel when he claimed,under oath,that "two black guys" killed her,that their new live in "tutor" killed her,and that *his own brother* killed her.
I did get to talk to Dorthy Moxley for a minute of two...the nicest lady you could ever meet.

I’ve been to the murder scene, in the late 1970’s. Not just gated, guarded community with one access road.
Had to be someone living on this little peninsula in Long Island Sound.

I guess from now on every defense atty in the country will “fail to seek out” for their more difficult to defend clients with the goal of getting their case overturned in appeal.
Furman did the leg work and reported the truth leading to Skakel’s trial.
He had the best legal team money could buy and his conviction is thrown out because he supposedly had incompetent representation?! This is clear proof that the US judicial system is entirely corrupt to its core, and we can all see that this now includes even the Supreme Court!

I learned to hate the Kennedy clan at my mother’s knee (literally), but that was just a complete miscarriage of Justice. We screwed up, so you get punished more? A complete disgrace, and I’m astonished it was left to stand.
