150+ responses on the previous thread. No one bothered to bring up/ask: Should anyone that can afford the cost of a tattoo be entitled to any government assistance?
I’m surprised an earlier thread got 150+ responses.
How expensive are tattoos?
$100 for a very small, about i inch by two inches No, I don’t have any, but my daughters have some pretty big ones. And now they can never be buried in a Jewish Cemetery, near their great-grandparents.
Its their constitutional right and should be payed for by taxpayers.
Should anyone receiving government assistance have kids, take vacations, eat out, only buy “healthy foods,” have iphones, cable , cars, or nice houses?
We don’t get to dictate what they spend their government assistance on. That’s been noted, lol.
It helps Police identify many miscreants...
Its tribalism....
No !
I can’t stand them . They are art , they are graffiti
Not to mention that street vagrants with $3000 in body art shouldnt get a penny from anyone.
I think there’s a herd mentality about tattoos. If it’s about expressing their individuality then they all do it the same way. Much conformity here.
Reminds of something Ayn Rand wrote:
“There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: the fashionable non-conformist.”
Eric Hoffer touched on the same thing:
“Nonconformists travel as a rule in bunches. You rarely find a nonconformist who goes it alone.”
Remember reading a great essay by Bertrand Russell in college called “Modern Homogeneity”. The forces of conformity are far greater now than then. Most young people have no powers of discernment. They’re mired in a herd mentality that is scary. Not all of course. But when I run into them they appear to be drones. They must be noticed. The more outrageous the better. But alas, any fool can draw attention.
I call BS on this. Since the Holocaust Jews have avoided tattoos, but it's not a doctrine.
My standard answer to women who questioned me about tattoos...
I never hated myself enough to want to do something like that.
It insuated in post 59, about the tatted up guy and his food stamp problem at the grocery store check out.
Those who get tattoos believe that the government ought to pay for them. It’a part of the Free Stuff America.
I cringe when I see a beautiful woman with a tattoo.
Why do you put something on your body that distracts from how beautiful you are?
1 Corinthians Chapter 3:
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
