I just ordered my first beer of the year at an Irish Pub In Soiuthern California, Samuel Adams 76 American Lager. Perfect match to a Prime Rib Sandwich and Garlic Parmesan Fries.
Welcome to 2019 Freepers, FRiends & Happy Patriots
Wow. You sure know how to bring in the new year! Garlic parmesan fries.....I’m drooling. Never heard tell of such a thing.
Yeah, I got yesterday’s meatballs, mac-n-cheese and some Busch beer.
Hooray for you.
Meh, its a good brewery, bunch I like better, I would have gone with a glass of the Bulliet in the background.
I’m not a beer drinker but that looks delicious.
Boston Lager and Rebel is good.
Aside from that, I like most IPAs!
Ky Bourbon Ale is good too!
I no longer home brew; but I do a bit of blending...Southern Comfort (Original), Honey, Etc.
GyG@PlanetWTF?
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Cheers!
Great choice of beer.
This Sam Adams? Never again.
Sam Adams pulls its sponsorship of St Patrick’s Day parade over gay rights
Boston parade organisers failed to reach an agreement with gay rights advocacy group, causing beer brewer to withdraw support
I was given a collection of Sam Adams for Christmas. This ‘76 was one of them.
it is a good beer.
There are so many local brewmeisters around with quality local craft beers that there really is no reason (other than price) to go big chain beers.
I don’t drink enough to make the 3-5 dollar difference in a six pack enough to choose the cheap stuff.
Yeah we have a ton of locals in Philly. Sam Adams is good, but dead to me.
You must include SamAdams76.
Yep. I also enjoyed Sam Adams beer until they went full leftard. Never go full leftard.
“big” means corporate, which means all the stupid “public awareness” junk. I had rather buy a beer (or a hubcap, or a widget of whatever stripe) from a flaming lesbian and transgender couple “married” than some nonsensical hyperwoke coward who has to take a poll to find out his/her moral absolute of the day.
Good small breweries are everywhere. There is even one in my home town of Gadsden Alabama (Back 40 brewery). Great stuff.
Thanks for adding a great Freeper.
Happy 2019 Sam.
It (76) is billed as an American Lager, but it’s much more an ale to me. Too green as in bitter, like an ale.
Budweiser’s limited run, Budweiser Freedom Reserve Red Lager, was a pretty good brew, better than the Budweiser Copper Lager. I never got a chance to sample the Budweiser 1933 Repeal Reserve Amber Lager.
Yep, nothing but Queer Beer.
