For anyone unaware, Fallout 76 is an online only, pay to play MMO. It no longer is a single player RPG. This forever changes the Fallout experience for me. It’s dead.
I have grown up enjoying the Fallout world. Sadly, I will never wander the landscape of post apocalyptic West Virgina.
After waiting the almost a days time to download the 52 gig latest iteration, I finally got to play. WRONG. Online account must be paid for before “signing in”. Deleted that beyotch straight away. Adios Bethesda.
I admire adults that get enjoyment from video games.
Far from being adolescent, they are somehow able to hold on to that part of being a kid that made life so much fun.
Bethesda was nuked? And there is fallout??? Hope it doesn’t blow over Tenleytown.

Interesting observation.
My son (38 years old married with a daughter) said the other day that he had had fun growing up and was missing that.
He was kind of sad about that, wondering what might be different, and would he get that kind of fun back.

I expect that they will learn their lesson and return to what made them great.
PS I skipped ‘76 altogether.

Bethesda is taking hell for this turd. Panned by pretty much every critic and fan. I love the Fallout series but this thing should have been killed in the crib. I hope they go back to what made the series great. Terrific single player open world story with entertaining and interesting NPC’s. They really blew it with this one.

The post-apocalyptic, mutated denizens of Maryland’s Eastern Shore in the Fallout 3 expansion Far Harbor were a hoot. Slow, shuffling...but those shovels they carried packed a wallop.

Wasteland was king in the early nineties. Fallout has been devolving with every iteration. Just like the elder scrolls. Daggerfall (elder scrolls 2) was absolutely epic in 1996. To this day RPGs have not matched its scope or content. Every iteration since then from morrowind to oblivion to skyrim has been smaller and smaller. The graphics are epic with modern engines, but the content has been so dumbed down that it is an empty shell of what it once was 23 years ago. It is very sad
Your information is incorrect. You have to buy the game, just like any other version of Fallout. There is no charge for an online account.
