I admire adults that get enjoyment from video games.
Far from being adolescent, they are somehow able to hold on to that part of being a kid that made life so much fun.
Interesting take. Thank you. I actually just finished downloading its replacement. Now its off to the gun slinging days of the Old West for a few. Have a great night.

Interesting observation.
My son (38 years old married with a daughter) said the other day that he had had fun growing up and was missing that.
He was kind of sad about that, wondering what might be different, and would he get that kind of fun back.
I've been gaming for a little over 10 years now. Started when I was 45ish as something to do at the coast in the winter when boat biz got real slow. A coupla weeks and a few destroyed controllers later(hint: it's cheaper to throw them into a pillow at the other end of the couch). I started having a great time with it once I learned the motions and got somewhat used to aiming my weapon with my right thumb(?!?). I like "first person" and OTS(over the shoulder) shooters with wide range "look around" motion (i.e. Rainbow 6, Gears, Future Soldier and to an extent COD except for it's "neckless" movement).
But one thing I liked early on is that for just a few bucks here are a pile of "new places and worlds" I could wander and play on. If I were to ever get disabled where I can't get around I can still "play" as long as I keep my hands, eyes and brains somewhat intact. It's been great for recovery from surgeries, extended inclement weather and such.
It may be a stretch, but I like options. The graphics in even some of the older games are still fun. My favorite is old Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 "Terrorist Hunt". Nice, short attention span blasting that can go on for a few minutes or hours. No story line. Offline. Free of other annoying humans and filled with wiseazz bots ta shoot at.(Why ya shootin the walls, bitch?!?)
.
chrissers- I imagine an apocolypse will look a lot like a mass divorce in WV. Trailers will be lost and mebbe fewer of the WV "State Flowers" (satellite dishes). d;^)
