MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow – a pioneer of Putin-ate-my-homework journalism – has predictably mused that Donald Trump is considering pulling troops out of Afghanistan on the orders of Russia’s president. The evidence speaks for itself.
In segment on her critically-acclaimed show, “Watch Me Scream ‘Russia’ Until I Dislocate My Jaw”, Maddow made an adroit observation of seismic proportions: Reports that Donald Trump is mulling a partial withdrawal from Afghanistan emerged only hours after Vladimir Putin said that the US keeps promising to leave the country but never does! In layman’s terms: Putin ordered Trump to pull troops out of Afghanistan, during a live broadcast? It seems Maddow believes that she decrypted their top-secret communications channel.
Apparently she cannot fathom that there may be any non-Putin related motives for leaving Afghanistan after 17 years. But in August, the MSNBC host accused Trump of “flip-flopping” after announcing that more US troops would be deployed to Afghanistan.
So Rachel Maddow opposes sending more troops to Afghanistan – but anyone who wants to withdraw US forces from the country is a Putin stooge. A daunting pickle, indeed.
As Vox pointed out at the time, Trump “spent years railing against the war in Afghanistan and calling for a US withdrawal from the country.” Before moving into the White House, he made it clear to lawmakers that his administration would not send US troops to fight abroad unless “absolutely necessary.”
Maddow’s other celebrated Russiagate hits include having a stroke – live on television – after discovering that Russia shares a border with North Korea. She also famously revealed that Rex Tillerson was hand-picked by Putin to serve as Secretary of State – you know, the guy who allegedly called Trump a “f*cking moron”.
Imagine Maddow’s on-air meltdown if Trump really does withdraw troops from Afghanistan.
No. Aliens told Trump to withdraw because they have a secret base there.
We should have never been in Afghanistan.
Thirty days of air strikes after 9/11 would have been enough.
Nobody has ever tamed Afghanistan.
Send Mad cow there. Why lose our American men there? If we can’t get the job done in 17 years that tells me it is nothing but a prop for the Industrialized Military. We lost enough brave men there and I would rather save them for the war against Iran (Thanks Obama for giving them the $$$ to build their nukes and support Terrorism).
So now the left are war mongers? I wonder how this is playing with normal democrats. Sure they hate Trump, but they also hate military intervention in other countries. Trump may be separating them from the far leftest. That would be ironic!
Why does Ms. Maddow keep postponing her trip to Kabul to organize an organization to promote homosexual and transgender rights and open a Planned Parenthood clinic. If its a matter of cash sure people would contribute to a go fund me page if she guarantees she will actually go.

Afghanistan is the graveyard of empires.
Just look at its history, and see how many foreign empires were forced into eclipse and obscurity because they tarried too long in the wind-blown high desert.
Going back to Alexander the Great, 330 BC. Afghanistan proved impossible to subdue. At best, Alexander had only an uneasy truce with them for a while until his death less than a decade later.
Everybody else that went into Afghanistan ended up busting their horns, and even Genghis Khan steered carefully as he passed through their lands, intent on subjugating all the surrounding provinces, but treading with caution and well-placed emissaries along the way.
Donald Trump can make liberals do anything.
Now he has them demanding that American troops be kept overseas to fight in foreign wars.
Rachael’s girl friend made her say that.

No doubt, because Russia’s last foray into Afghanistan worked out so well for them and they want back in.

Joe Biden was advocating that approach at the time. Looks like Slow Joe might have been right. Because eventually we will see helicopters evacuating the US embassy in Kabul. It’ll be just like Saigon was in 1975.
And when Obama reduced troop levels in Afghanistan was it Russia who ordered Obama to do it?
Why would a russian news agency give a crap what some inconsequential US talking head says about Putin? Are there US news agencies that fret about what russian newscasters say about Trump?
