"Editorials 4-6" The editorial on the election seems remarkably neutral in tone, more like a headline news report than opinion piece.
So we are left to wonder how the editors really felt about it.
Also about the lack of any mention of what was surely the time's greatest issue: slavery.
The editorial on Sawyer's New Testament translation is generally favorable, looking forward to other, better future translations.
The editorial on restoring Anglican confession booths predicts that American Episcopals will not accept it.
I suspect they were wrong.
A most interesting editorial on the role of cotton exports in restoring America's balance of payments, and the importance of, ahem, money flows from New York to New Orleans.
