Highly selective memories are such convenient tools to have at you disposal, until somebody calls you on your obvious doublethink opinion.

Videotape and other digital records are your friends (or downfall) in times of dispute.

Oh, they haven't forgotten. But they're depending on their brain-dead constituency to have forgotten.

That's a sure bet.

I wonder what percentage of our representative’s time is spent working towards some economic or regulatory goal versus just politically attacking the other side. Historically, I suspect at least fifty percent of the time was spent doing the business of the public. Now, I suspect that one hundred percent of the time is spent looking for political advantage and all economic or regulatory work is done by staffers and aimed not at improving something, but at undermining or destroying some objective of the opposition.

It amazes how stupid the Democrats are, it’s almost like they’re not aware of it

Of course they demanded his resignation in 2017, before he recused himself from the Russia investigation. Since he recused himself from the Russia investigation, the dems naturally want him to stay.

Wouldn’t we classify some of them, as the deep state?

Democrat voters have been trained to have short memories.

A year....long enough to change an opinion.

Longer...”dude that was like three years ago” ancient history.

Democrats just don’t care. Democrat history is whatever they say it is today. They just make up the past as they go.

“Imagine all the money the put in to trying get a “blue wave” “

I read an article from FR that said, in essence, that the winning Democrats had out spent their opponents by factors ranging from three to ten times. In many cases, they eked out a win of just a fraction of a point to several percent. The money, especially for local races, comes from locals for Republicans and from all over for liberals. In some cases a George Soros type character will contribute more to a liberal campaign in just one donation (probably to a PAC) than the conservative raises in the entire race. It’s hard to run against such headwinds. On the other hand, one wonders how long liberals can keep up the pace.

“Wouldn’t we classify some of them, as the deep state? “

I think the deep state consists of people who are not elected civil servants who spend their entire career in some government position. They become “The Deep State” when they use their job to bias the success of one political side or the other. This is clearly the case of Obama’s DOJ/FBI, and probably a host of other government organizations like the IRS and CIA as well.
