I have a lot of respect for people like this.

Probably did more than a hundred auditions with no call-back, but just kept pecking away, year after year.
Probably earned a comfortable upper middle class living.
A pretty good life, but a little shorter than average.

#ScottWilson was a buddy of mine since we were in our twenties. He told me he was working pumping gas when he got cast in IN COLD BLOOD. He made $40,000 for the whole movie, lost it all in Vegas on a weekend, and went back to work at the gas station! He was a fabulous guy. #RIP
I’ve seen some of his other work in addition to TWD. Great actor. RIP.

My husband and I are regular Walking Dead viewers. We LOVED the Hershel character, and Scott Wilson portrayed him beautifully. We’re sad to hear of his passing, but we look forward to seeing some Hershel this season.
I always said I want to be Hershel when I grow up!
Please tell his family that his acting brought great entertainment to many many people.
I loved him as Hershel on TWD. My brother had a recording of an episode of “Justified,” and he played it for me. Imagine my surprise when Hershel was in it. He played a bank robber who rolled an oxygen tank around with him. Great character. That episode hooked me on “Justified,” and I binge watched the entire series.

I was faithful until Alexandria. After a couple of Alexandria episodes I was dragging myself to the TV.
The last episode I watched was when Negan did the head bashing.
