President Trump spoke to the United Nations General Assembly today in New York City, and he used a couple words that Washington Post’s global opinions editor Karen Attiah finds troubling:

I heard President Trump. He sounded incredible. He spoke without a TelePrompter.

Born here of citizen parents, naturally a citizen because they cannot be anything else.
Only have ONE nationality with no possibility of being anything else.
Excludes the children of foreign nationals.
Obama had two words, too.
“I” and “uh.”
Anything beyond that was just filler.
I remember clearly a full-page analysis piece in my local paper just weeks after Bush II was inaugurated. It spoke openly about the European elites’ concern about Bush’s presumed policies going forward, which they said were an expression of the “outdated” view - in their opinion - of the idea of national sovereignty. This has been brewing a long time. I was surprised they were so open about it.
