Last year online retailer Yandy.com came under fire for its Native American line of Halloween costumes. This year, the site caused outrage with its sexy handmaid garb, an outfit women forced into surrogacy wear in Hulus The Handmaids Tale.
Yandy, which urges its customers to own their sexy, debuted its 'brave red maiden costume' earlier this week. The description reads: An upsetting dystopian future has emerged where women no longer have a say. However, we say be bold and speak your mind in this exclusive Brave Red Maiden costume.
The model on the site is seen wearing a long red cloak over a very short mini-dress paired with black heels, fishnet stockings and a white bonnet headpiece. The costume retails for $64.95.

There has been a massive outcry by the Snowflake generation and the company that makes it has had to stop selling it.
The funny thing about it? The Snowflakes think it's real and don't realize the show is fiction!
For real every one needs to read the tweets they left, it's so unreal.
Even people in the DM comment section said stuff like "glamorizing being a sex slave" Sex slave? Oh really? Like "Fifty Shades of Grey"? Or now it's "Fifty Shades of Red"?
Remember these same people wear the same costume when protesting Kavanaugh! Methinks that thou protest too much.
Its not even an ethnic group thats supposedly offended by it its a fictional show.
It must be exhausting to be in permanent offended mode.
I want an Aunt Lydia costume because I really want to offend
What about the Sexy Pirate? Is it ok to be gang slammed by a group of rowdy oceanic thieves?? What about the Sexy Nurse? Why should a woman trying to help sick people be characterized as a sex object? The Sexy Maid? Should a poor helpless illegal be forced to prance around in next to nothing with a feather duster? Sexist AND racist! The sexy cat woman?? Oh, we get it. The P word. There should only be butch masculine costumes for girls. Sexy is simply wrong!
We live in Clown World.
The article calls handmaidens sex slaves
In the original concept they were fertile young women brought in for a stand in for barren career women wives
Reproduction recruits
Thats not a sex slave
I can only imagine this modern tv series is highly pc and misses the point of the original novel which was a post feminist dystopian screed
Am I wrong?
I havent see this miniseries of 3 seasons
Do they have a sex burqua costume?
Something akin to the 7 veils with a black miniskirt?
A fictional show about woman sex and child bearing slaves based on a book written as an allegory about Islam.
But no one on the Left wants to talk about that.
TV is religion to the left.
So of course they are “offended”.
Now a “sexy” *insert anything Christian here* outfit would never bother them in the least.
But bringing in Hispanic breeders is O.K.!
So hot. Makes me feel all puritanical, patriarchy and right wingy! Is that what they wear on the show?
Can you find her Scarlet Letter?
There are couples who love to do the sex slave thing with either the husband or the wife as the slave.
Protesting this is protesting people’s choice to pursue the fetish of their dreams.
But, this is Democratic Socialism.....insanity.
Never seen the show.
Ha, that is in no way sexy. Naughty nurse and Vampira costumes are sexy. That is as sexy as a bedsheet or garbage bag.
Women dressed as handmaidens while protesting Republicans are supposed to be taken seriously. A sexy handmaiden costume makes a mockery of this seriousness.
I like it though.
I think I'll command my wife to wear one.
No, Atwood's book very much is rooted in 80s America, when liberals truly believed that powerful conservative Christian organizations (they existed back then) aligned with the Reagan Administration, would create a right-wing Christian dystopia.
Of course, it never came to pass and today the idea seems preposterous. They do exist today in modern Islam but Atwood wasn't writing about that and liberals don't care about the sufferings of Muslim women. They're too busy imaging a fictional "Republic of Gilead" under the Trump Administration, having never forgiven Ronald Reagan for not creating one when he had the chance like they told everyone he was going to do.
