A big game hunter and former beauty queen is facing backlash after she claimed in a television interview that hunting helps with anti-poaching and conservation efforts.
Oliva Nalos Opre, who won the title of Mrs. Nebraska in 2003, spoke about her hobby on the U.K.-based show “This Morning” via satellite Wednesday from her home in Montana.
The mother of four told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby she’s killed about 100 species of animals in six different continents.
Her Facebook bio says she’s hunted in Benin, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Mongolia, France, Spain, Romania, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, and throughout the United States.

She’s right.
Anyone who eats meat but hates hunting is a pure hypocrite in my opinion. At least when you are hunting and kill an animal, they are happy until the last moment.
Meaning any idiot with a facebook account, or a twitter account, but no knowledge whatsoever of why taking animals for conservation purposes is done, can mouth off.

I have a brother-in-law that thinks I am a horrible person cause I hunt and butcher. He eats meat so I just told him the only difference is he hires the killers.
Plus, she’s not guilty.
They assume meat descends from the sky like manna in cryo-wrapped packages.
Legal hunting pays for conservation efforts. Where hunting is banned, poachers run amok. Local governments have no means to pay for security.

The alternative is managers of Chinese factories in Africa renting helicopters on the weekend and slaughtering elephants for their tusks with nobody to stop them because there is no money for game wardens.

If there were a hundred leopards running around the neighborhood around London where these two goofy interviewers live, they would both be leading the charge to “kill them” …..”Kill them”. And, they would insist on killing every last one.
In Africa, where in some countries these wild animals are the only resource they have that can be immediately turned into cash, this is a “managed”, multi million dollar industry designed to provide money to pay police to “hunt” and “kill” the poachers and at the same time preserve, protect and enhance the species long term while putting food on the table for Africans.
This Montana woman, in my opinion did not do a good job of explaining the big picture to these Liberal morons and their audience of a dozen or so.
Now, if the Leopard is endangered in the country where he was shot then that’s not a good thing and few would support that. But, in today’s international media septic pool, who can you believe?
