(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

“A “vampire facial,” in which a patient’s blood is drawn and then re-applied to their own face, could be responsible for infections at a New Mexico spa.”
The patient’s own blood is giving them HIV?

Presumably, the machine wasn’t adequately sanitized after each use.
I think, anyway.

Geez, I’d hate to get that call. It’s a good thing I never considered a vampire facial.

My guess is they werent using sterile needles, tubes or bags... so lord knows what they wound up getting into their bloodstream.

Gotta wonder, why would a woman think that blood on her face is a “beauty” treatment?
But then again, they also believe that a cream will make fat disappear. So there’s that.

So many young people seem to be taken up with new fads which cause lasting damage. I am reminded of those people who died as a result of a “sweat lodge” treatment several years ago, and the new poop pro-biotics, and the teen challenges of the last few years.

Seriously, anyone infected by this ghastly procedure deserves what they get.

I think the problem is not the patient’s blood, but the blood handling equipment not being sterile. In other words, the problem comes from someone else’s blood.

The patients own blood is giving them HIV? Mebbe should consider who the patients were.
