Presumably, the machine wasn’t adequately sanitized after each use.
I think, anyway.
My guess is they weren’t using sterile needles, tubes or bags... so lord knows what they wound up getting into their bloodstream.
I think the problem is not the patient’s blood, but the blood handling equipment not being sterile. In other words, the problem comes from someone else’s blood.
Mebbe should consider who the patients were.
Maybe they just had one needle and wiped it off between uses.
I imagine they were reusing tubes and such on multiple people.... they are a salon/spa, rather than a medical provider. They probably didn’t have the health oversight/regulations.
