While I respect and like you, my first reaction to the whole BS op-ed is, “Who cares?” (just not to you!)

An anonymous source, NYT? Any administration officials, Republicans, and we in the rank and file should all dismiss it out of hand, and laugh at any other journalists or democrats who bring it up.

Laugh in their face and tell them you don’t have time to discuss fiction. If and only if they provide a name will you listen and discuss.

One thing that sticks out to me reading the anonymous editorial in the New York Times is that it doesn't sound like a government official wrote it. The big "tell" is the use of the term "senior officials" in one form or similar at three points in the body of the editorial. Do regular people write like that? Not really but you know who does? Reporters.
Could be, or it could the Ringmaster of Trolling himself, President Trump. Thanks PJ-Comix.

Anonymous sources inside the New York Times have told me that all the employees in that company start off each day with a secret ceremony that finishes with each person squeezing a bottle of ketchup over their own heads.

See? I can be a journalist too!

"The op ed was crafted to be a persuasive piece. It has a well structured flow along the lines of an article that a seasoned reporter would write."

Or anyone with a recent degree? I don't care much for the work of most of today's seasoned reporters. Their work is the work of moronic, seasoned whores. That's no surprise, though. Most of them are required by their English instructors to be social perverts above all.

The main gatekeeper in my English department was the State N.O.W. President at the time. She weeded out conservatives who didn’t get her social and emotional approval (such as polite men with short haircuts and military bearing). That English department was in one of the poorer, less populated parts of the Midwest in a “state” university. And by the time I’m dead, most people interested in politics will be aware that problem in general. So proud alumni and university employees, stuff it!

[Edit.] And by the time I’m dead, most people interested in politics will be aware of that problem in general.

Forgive my skepticism, but the source for this story is something called the New York Times, a publication which simply cannot be trusted, especially when it comes to President Trump.

Until proven otherwise I will assume this was written by someone connected with the NYT and attributed to an anonymous source.

any thing published on the net gets compared, maybe anonymous has never published anything but I doubt it.
